Dream it and we will work on it! You have seen this guy here before and look at him progressing. Engaging both arms with the walker, forward lean for walking, upright posture and keeping his eyes on the goal of walking 20+ feet. Stay tuned for more progress captured!!

Have to feed Ruby before starting session. Then on to fishing to work on bilateral coordination, visual attention, balance, and fine motor skills. Playtime is a blast!!!

Stroke Rehab - Can be FUN!! Everyone wants to feed Ruby the Therapy Dog! Client working on shoulder abduction and elbow extension with a carrot held by his pinky finger. Ruby is waiting so patiently as she know the reward is a 🥕, her favorite treat.

This client has a smile on his face and fully motivated to give Ruby her carrot.

This is neuro rehab. It’s hard. It’s frustrating. It’s slower than desired.

But with practice, purposeful engagement, and external focus ….. wonderful neuron growth can happen!!! He went from not able to move his arm to gaining success with placing hand on a bar to pull himself up, stabilize himself so his right hand is available for tasks and can now transfer himself!!!! When he first came to therapy with us he had no arm movement.

When you come to therapy clients prepare to work hard to make the gains they want. Client is relearning to move, trust, and feel his left arm and leg to stabilize and move during functional activities. We are all so PROUD of this clients great progress and want to thank him for working so hard with us. We are eager to see his progress continue!!!
