Day 11 Spotlight: Omtae Honey ✨

I first discovered Omtae Honey at a market, and let me tell you — their flavored honey immediately caught my eye. They’re known for their hot pepper honey, which sounded amazing… but if you know me, you know I can’t handle too much spice 😂 So when I learned they also make non-spicy flavors, I perked RIGHT up.

I didn’t buy anything during that first encounter, but the second time? Oh, I absolutely caved — and I’m so glad I did. I picked up their Apple of My Eye honey, and wow. It’s sweet, cozy, and tastes like fall. Truly delicious.

Okay, stationery lovers — this one’s for you! Today’s spotlight is on Of Aspen, a small biz I found while scrolling Instagram (aka my favorite way to “accidentally” discover new shops 😆).

🌟 Day 9 – Small Business Spotlight 🌟

Today’s spotlight is on Trulysweetbee! 🐝 She makes 100% natural skincare products — from lotions to scrubs — and let me tell you, they’re amazing. I met her while we were both vending at the same market and ended up buying one of her lotions after chatting for a bit.

I told her I have sensitive skin and that most lotions make my face break out, and she explained that her products are gentle and great for sensitive skin. I decided to give it a try, and boy was she right — not a single problem! My skin felt so soft, and it’s been one of my favorite finds from that market ever since.

Today’s spotlights are extra special — it’s a family & friends edition! 💕

First up is my uncle’s business, Ruiz's Pieces of Custom Coasters and Crafts ! His designs are awesome (seriously, he’s got skills 👏🏼) and he can even do custom orders. Whether it’s coasters or creative crafts, his work always has that “wow, that’s cool!” factor.

And for spotlight number two — meet BKen Hobbies ! He’s a friend from my middle school/high school days and makes the most beautiful crystal trees. Each one looks like a little burst of magic — colorful, detailed, and just plain amazing.

It’s so fun getting to share both of their talents today — family creativity and longtime-friend artistry all in one post! ✨

📚 Day 6 Small Business Spotlight 📚

Today’s spotlight is on The Book Whisperer CTX — because who doesn’t love a good mystery, especially when it comes in book form? 😉

She sells Blind Dates with a Book, and I finally gave in and bought one after months of telling myself I would “next time.” Her booth was right across from mine at a market, and honestly… resisting was impossible after seeing all those beautifully wrapped books staring at me all day! 😂

With fall in full swing, it’s the perfect time to curl up with a blanket, grab your favorite drink, and unwrap a story you didn’t know you needed. 🍂📖✨

Today’s spotlight is a fun one — Longhorn Loops! 🧶 She makes the cutest crochet creations, and I mean seriously cute. I first met her at a market where we were both vending, and I couldn’t help but fall in love with her work. I’ve bought from her (and so have my kids!) because how do you walk away from something that adorable? Exactly, you don’t 😄💕

Today’s feature is another market find (and yes, I bought something again 😆). Meg & Sea makes such fun and creative pieces — from shirts and stickers to keychains and more.

I couldn’t resist this shirt because my fellow locals will definitely understand the humor behind it 😂 (“Grack Attacks!” says it all!) I love how her designs capture those little bits of life with a clever, artistic twist.

🌟 Day 3 – Small Business Spotlight! 🌟

Today’s feature is Grace Upon Grace, a small business making the cutest polymer clay earrings! Fun story: I first found her booth at a market (and yes, I definitely bought a pair… or two 😄) — later realizing the owner was someone I went to high school with! We were on the Drill Team together.

I picked up two pairs of studs — sunflowers 🌻 and succulents 🌵 — and I can’t stop wearing them. Her pieces are so detailed and charming, it’s hard to choose just one!

✨ Day 2 of my Small Business Spotlight Series ✨

Today’s feature goes to The Threaded Crone, a maker I recently met at a market — she happened to be my booth neighbor! While I didn’t get a chance to chat much (I’m still working on being a little more outgoing at events 😅), I was immediately drawn in by her display and the uniqueness of what she creates: kitchen witches!

I’d seen them online before but hadn’t realized what they were at first. Her work definitely stood out among the usual market finds, and her witches are just so cute! 🧙‍♀️ She even has a great post explaining what kitchen witches are if you’ve ever been curious about them like I was.

I’m starting this series off with someone I not only admire as a fellow small business owner, but also get to call a friend — Sherrie of The Busy Bee's Bakery! 🍞💛

Sherrie and her son make the most amazing sourdough creations — from flavorful breads and scones to the cutest sugar cookies and even sourdough pasta! My family and I have had the pleasure of enjoying their baked goods (more than once 😋), and every bite is just as delicious as the last.

The heart and care they put into their baking truly shines through, and it’s easy to see why The Busy Bee’s Bakery has such a loyal following. If you ever get the chance to try their goodies, don’t hesitate — you’ll definitely be back for more!

This month, I’m celebrating the creativity and heart behind small businesses! 🌟 As a small business owner, I know how much love goes into every creation, and I want to shine a spotlight on some amazing makers I’ve met and discovered. Some I’ve met while vending (and ended up buying from!), a few I know personally, others I’ve supported as an attendee, and the rest I’ve discovered along the way.
