Last night we attended a small gathering in nearby Pflugerville. Kimberly from The PFaith House held a sharing event with food, pumpkin and butterfly painting for kids of all ages, and lots of networking opportunities. It was great to hear what so many are doing in the community to provide assistance.

We are hoping to connect with a number of them to offer monetary support to their missions. Kimberly Holiday told her story of starting The PFaith House and the coalition of people it takes to make it a success in spite of new federal funding cuts for housing.
It was interesting to hear about a project to establish a cultural center celebrating the contribution to Austin that the black community east of IH35 has made. This project was approved in 2009 and is gaining some traction.
I spoke with a woman who is focusing on girls 4th-12th grades to elevate their horizons/ expectations for life. I am particularly interested in this.
A woman at our table is getting ready to open a clothing pantry at the church where her husband is the pastor. She is getting quite a number of donations, including 100 pairs of shoes. We offered 100 pairs of socks to go with them.
All of thes women talked with such passion about their projects. Our kind of organizations!

George and I visited one of the PFaith Houses yesterday with Kimberly Holiday. The house is so nice, and so is the program to place women and children in housing and transition them to full lives. This house has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a great open living area. They hope to put a garden in the backyard.
We are so pleased to be donors to this project.

Mental health is just as important as physical health. Yet stigma, systemic barriers, and lack of access often prevent people—especially men of color—from getting the support they need.

This year’s World Mental Health Day is a reminder that mental health is a universal human right. Everyone deserves access to care, safe spaces to share their struggles, and the tools to heal.

At the Black Men’s Health Clinic®, we are committed to breaking stigma, providing culturally grounded resources, and connecting men and their families to trusted mental health providers and partners. Through counseling, peer support, and community programs, we are building healthier futures where no one has to struggle in silence.

Ready to prioritize your mental health? Schedule an appointment with one of our Care Network partners, TXCross or CommUnityCare, and take the next step toward healing.

💙 You are not alone. Healing is possible. Support is here.

Thank you CrossLife Church Christian Academy for your popcorn 🍿 donations to The PFaith House. For an entire semester the youth blessed the offering basket to bless the women and children we serve. This still brings me to tears.
To Pastor Daron, I'll come sing hymns anytime!

The storms are not over! Residents will experience the residuals of loss, grief, and mourning long after the volunteers are gone.

The PFaith House PFoot Soldiers staff & volunteers will be delivering water and hygiene to areas affected by floods with our church family.

We are accepting supply donations and financial donations to purchase as needed. While we are delivering supplies, our main focus is to walk and pray. For your privacy and security inbox interest and we will connect directly to avoid the crisis scams. Your gifts will be given directly to those in need.

Connect with Kimberly Holiday for donations or if you have collection items you would like for us to deliver on your behalf.
