Gestational carriers or gestational surrogates carry their intended parents’ embryo, or donor embryo, but they do not provide eggs of their own. They are not the biological mother, and don’t usually have the connection a bio birth mom would have with her own baby.

Whenever someone asks a question like this about my surrogacy journey, I want to say, “I wish I would’ve done it sooner!” 📣
Then I remember I was only 25 when I applied to become a surrogate, and I didn’t stop having kids of my own until I was 23, (too young, I know 🫣) so I couldn’t have done it earlier than I did according to the age requirements.
It’s been almost 6 years, and I still have no regrets about how my gestational surrogacy journey played out. It was meant to be. 🥰
