Yesterday I posted a video of me chanting the Maha Mantra and sharing how this practice has supported me in my life.

So many of you expressed interest in learning more, in joining, in sharing space together.

So now is your opportunity.

Tomorrow, Wednesday February 25th, 8pm NYtime, we are gathering for our first Mantra, Music & Meditation circle inside Revibe, and I’m opening this experience to everyone.

Revibe is a monthly membership community, a sacred space for authentic connection, healing, expansion, and conscious co-creation.

These are the kinds of gatherings that happen inside the community, practices that help us grow, regulate our nervous systems, open our hearts, and elevate our awareness.

Because if we want to see a shift in consciousness on this planet, we have to practice it.

Together.

Tomorrow at 8 PM Eastern, this first circle is free and open.

If you want the link, click the link in my bio and join my email list. I’ll send the access details tomorrow. Visit www.shanikaheals.com

Come experience the frequency.
Come be part of the shift.

Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta

Living on the Caribbean coast of Colombia, at the base of the Sierra Nevada, known as the Heart of the World, feels like being held inside something ancient.

There’s a frequency here.
A silence.
A remembering.

I feel deeply called to live in this territory, to learn from the land, to listen, to slow down, and to honor the wisdom that has been preserved here for generations.

This video is from my visit to a village of the Kogi people, one of several Indigenous nations in this mountain range, alongside the Wiwa, Arhuaco, and Kankuamo. Because of their geographic isolation high in the Sierra, the Kogi were able to preserve much of their ancestral knowledge, cosmology, and way of life.

To witness how they live, in relationship with the Earth, with simplicity, with spiritual devotion woven into daily life, is humbling.

This isn’t tourism for me.
It’s reverence.
It’s listening.
It’s remembering that there are still cultures rooted in reciprocity with the land.

I’ll be sharing more about my experiences here, what I’m learning, what I’m feeling, and what this territory is teaching me.

Follow along 🤍

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama
Rama Rama Hare Hare

This is the Maha Mantra.

I started chanting this when I first began practicing yoga and meditation years ago. Over time, my path naturally led me into Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion. Bhakti means cultivating a loving relationship with the Divine through the heart. It’s less about rigid belief and more about surrender, love, and remembrance.

Hare refers to the Divine feminine energy.
Krishna means the all-attractive Supreme consciousness.
Rama represents divine joy and bliss.

When we chant, we are calling on Divine love itself.

This mantra is known as a mantra of liberation. It calms the nervous system, clears repetitive thought loops, softens the ego, and gently brings awareness back into the heart. Repetition anchors the mind. Melody opens emotion. Devotion dissolves separation.

All religions and traditions carry music and sacred sound. From church hymns to Sufi zikr to indigenous medicine songs, devotional chanting has always been a technology for transcending the thinking mind and reconnecting with God through love.

This isn’t about conversion. It’s about connection.

Chanting has helped me bypass overthinking, ground my energy, and access a frequency of love that feels bigger than me.

Would you like to learn more about meditation and these ancient technologies for expanding consciousness and opening the heart?

If there’s interest, I might start a weekly devotional chanting practice you can join.

We are not living through random chaos.
We are living through an acceleration of consciousness.

And evolution doesn’t happen through comfort.
It happens through emotion.

Fear.
Anger.
Grief.
Courage.
Love.

Every emotion is a frequency.
Whatever frequency we anchor into becomes our identity.

When we stay in fear long enough, it starts to feel normal.
When we live in outrage long enough, it feels righteous.
When we chase validation long enough, it feels necessary.

But survival mode narrows perception.
It keeps us looping.
It keeps us reacting instead of creating.

Look at what we’re constantly fed:

Scarcity.
Comparison.
Celebrity culture.
Sexualization.
Numbing.
Endless consumption.
Fame as identity.
Money as worth.

Not because we are “bad.”
But because distraction keeps consciousness small.

And a human who forgets their power is easier to direct.

But a human stabilized in awareness…
Rooted in the heart.
Grounded in truth.
Connected to their authentic power…

Moves differently.

Thinks differently.
Chooses differently.
Creates differently.

The work of our time is not escape.
It is remembrance.

To liberate the mind.
To open the heart.
To reconnect to our true nature.

This is the work we are doing inside Revibe.

A space for honesty.
For emotional maturity.
For healing.
For real conversations.
For people ready to live consciously and create intentionally.

If you feel the shift happening inside you…
If you’re tired of surface-level connection and endless scrolling…
If you’re ready to evolve on purpose…

Join us.

Something is shifting.

Not just in the world.
But in us.

Lately I’ve been reflecting on the evolution of consciousness, how we move through fear, grief, love, power… and how each emotional layer either contracts us or expands us.

We think awakening is dramatic.
But most of the time it’s subtle.

It’s noticing when you’re looping in survival.
It’s recognizing when fear feels familiar.
It’s choosing presence instead of reaction.
It’s realizing that consciousness evolves through what we are willing to feel.

I wrote about this more deeply on Substack , about the tension between the frequency I touch in sacred spaces and the reality we’re still navigating… and what it actually means to evolve without bypassing the human experience.

If you’ve been feeling a shift inside yourself…
If you feel like something is dissolving but you can’t quite name it…
If you’re outgrowing old versions of you…

This one is for you.

We are living through a transition.

Not just politically.
Not just economically.
But culturally and spiritually.

Many of us can feel it.

The old models of leadership, growth, and success are no longer coherent.
Competition over collaboration.
Extraction over regeneration.
Isolation over community.

We were never meant to build alone.

Revibe is a response to that knowing.

It is a field for cultural repair.

And by cultural repair, I mean this:

Repairing our relationship to power.
Repairing our relationship to emotion.
Repairing our relationship to community.
Repairing our relationship to the Earth.
Repairing the way we lead, build, and grow.

This is not rebellion for the sake of rebellion.

This is construction.

We are building networks instead of hierarchies.
Partnership instead of guru culture.
Authentic power instead of performance.
Cyclical growth instead of burnout.

Revibe is becoming a collaborative ecosystem of embodied teachers and conscious members who understand that the future will not be built by domination, but by coherence.

If you are a teacher rooted in lived integration, there is space for you.

If you are longing for authentic community, a place to grow, connect, and build consciously with others, there is space for you.

The future is not something we wait for.

It is something we practice.

And we are practicing it now.

I live in La Guajira, Colombia, the Indigenous capital of the country.

This territory is home to several Indigenous nations, including the Kogi, Wiwa, Wayuu, and Arhuaco peoples.

Today I walked along the river to visit a village.

It’s a long walk.
But it’s worth it.

The mountains.
The water.
The silence.
The peace.

Some days I don’t need to “do” anything.
Just walk. Just witness. Just remember.

The Kogi people, descendants of the ancient Tairona civilization, were never fully conquered during colonization. They retreated high into the Sierra Nevada mountains and preserved their cosmology, spiritual leadership, and way of life.

The village I’m visiting today is newer, around 20 years old. Many families traditionally live higher up in the mountains but created this settlement closer to the river and what we call “civilization.”

Being here humbles me.

To walk this land.
To witness how others live in relationship with Earth.
To feel the river regulate my nervous system.

I’m deeply grateful to live in this territory.

Would you ever walk hours just to sit in nature and learn from another way of life?

Grief doesn’t always look like tears.

Sometimes it looks like:
• fatigue
• irritation
• questioning yourself
• feeling “behind”
• losing momentum
• getting sick after holding too much

Most of us were never taught how to feel grief.

We were taught how to survive.
How to push.
How to perform strength.
How to stay productive.

But emotions are messengers.

And grief is not a malfunction.
It’s information.

You might be in a composting season if:
– You feel heavier than usual, but not hopeless
– You’re re-evaluating things you used to tolerate
– Your body is asking for rest
– Old emotions resurface without a clear trigger
– You feel the gap between where you are and where you’re headed

Instead of asking, “What’s wrong with me?”
Try asking, “What is breaking down right now?”

To metabolize grief:
• slow down before you analyze it
• feel it in your body, not just your thoughts
• let it move, walk, cry, journal, breathe
• resist turning it into a productivity problem
• give it a container

When emotions move, clarity follows.

I wrote more about this season I’ve been in and the idea of composting grief, on Substack if you want to go deeper.
