This is why wisdom teachings matter.

On Earth Day, April 22, we officially opened the doors of Motherful House, our temple, healing space, and community home here in Colombia.

A space rooted in the Divine Feminine, created to support women, mothers, children, and the restoration of community, care, and connection.

Our mission with Motherful Colombia is to create real, tangible support for women, especially single mothers and indigenous women, through healing spaces, food support, community gatherings, ecological awareness, gardens, education, and regenerative projects that help rebuild the village.

We believe when we support mothers, we support the future.
When women are nourished, families are nourished.
When community is restored, the world changes.

Women gathered for yoga, breathwork, meditation, singing, connection, and we shared a big pot of soup with our neighbors and indigenous families in the community.

This is only the beginning.

We are building something real here,
a living prayer,
a space of love,
and a new way forward.

Today, something amazing came to fruition so beautifully.

This morning I brought in straw mats… simple, grounded, from the Earth and placed them inside the Motherful Community House.
A space that is no longer just a vision… but something we can touch, gather in, and grow from.

On this Earth Day, we opened the doors to Motherful Colombia.
a healing and community space for women, for mothers, for children…
for connection, nourishment, and remembrance.

This is how it begins.
Not with perfection, but with presence.
With intention.
With hands in the soil, hearts open, and a willingness to build something different.

We are creating spaces rooted in care.
In ecological awareness.
In community support.
In a way of living that honors the Earth and each other.

At the same time, Revibe, our virtual village is growing.
The field is expanding.
The connections are weaving.
The vision is becoming shared.

And all of this…
is planting the seeds for something even greater
a living, breathing eco-village here in Colombia.

A place where this way of life becomes the norm.
Where community, healing, and the Earth are at the center.

This is not just an idea anymore.
It’s happening.

There are moments when you can feel the threads of your life weaving into something bigger… and today was one of those moments.

Standing in my voice, sharing stories, opening space, I’m reminded that storytelling has always been one of our most powerful technologies. Before systems, before institutions, before all of this… there was the circle. There was the fire. There was wisdom being remembered, carried, and passed on.

This is the work I’m devoted to.
Using my voice as a bridge, for healing, for transformation, for cultural repair.
Calling us back into purpose, into resilience, into community.

Not long ago, I set a clear intention: to become a world-renowned transformational speaker and teacher.
And today, I can feel that reality unfolding, not through force, but through courage… through choosing to live authentically… through doing the inner and outer work… through showing up again and again.

This is what dreamweaving looks like.
Not just imagining a new future… but embodying it.
Stepping into leadership.
Holding space for others to remember their power, their voice, their role in co-creating what comes next.

This is what it looks like when vision becomes real.

What started as leaves, branches, fallen logs, and compost…
has now become living soil.
Black earth. Foundation. Food. Life.

We just built our first garden bed using what the land already gave us,
no excess, no waste… just intention, care, and collaboration.

And the truth is, this didn’t happen alone.

Many hands came together.
And when we work together like this…
the work becomes lighter, faster, and honestly, more joyful.

This is how we regenerate.
This is how we rebuild community.
This is how we remember how to live.

Two years ago on 4/20… a random idea dropped in.

No plan.
No strategy.
Just a feeling.

I followed it.

Next thing I know, I’m in Envigado, in this beautiful co-living space, cooking Jamaican food, music playing, energy high… and 20+ people show up. Strangers turned community. Laughter, connection, abundance flowing.

That’s been my life.

Not conventional. Not mapped out.
But deeply led.

In October 2023, I left Mexico, and my daughters went back to the United States. For the first time, I had space, 10 months without physically parenting. That time became sacred. I spent six months in Ecuador, in a quiet beach town, healing my nervous system, slowing down, learning how to truly rest. Then I followed the pull to Colombia… and that’s what led me to places like Medellín and Envigado, and moments like this.

Some of the best experiences of my life didn’t come from planning…
They came from listening and having the courage to move when inspiration called.

This is your reminder:

Your intuition is not random.
Your ideas are not small.
Your path doesn’t have to make sense to anyone else.

It just has to feel true to you.

And when you follow it… life meets you there in ways you could never force.

There’s something unspoken that happens when you meet someone who shares your roots… especially far from home.

Yesterday at the beach, I saw her and instantly felt it. That quiet recognition. That warmth. That knowing.

So I walked up, like I always do.

Because if you know, you know.

There’s an unwritten code among us, especially as Black travelers moving through spaces where we’re not always reflected. We find each other. We acknowledge each other. We connect.

I met Shayla, visiting from London, and just like that… conversation flowed, laughter came easy, and for a moment, the world felt smaller, in the best way.

There’s something powerful about seeing each other out here. Choosing to explore, to expand, to step beyond what’s familiar. It’s more than travel, it’s presence, courage, and quiet solidarity.

To every Black woman out there following her curiosity, her freedom, her path… I see you.

And when I see you in real life, best believe I’m coming to say hi 🤎

Full circle moment for me…

For the past 17 years, I’ve followed Foundation for Intentional Community/FIC using it to find community, to learn, to grow, to imagine a different way of living.

I always knew one day I would be teaching in this space.

And now, I am.

This is more than a class.

It’s a space for remembering…
for reconnecting…
for reimagining how we live, together.

A space where we return to the power of storytelling…
where stories become a bridge between past and future…
where we begin to weave ceremony back into our lives through moments like these.

Because community was never just about living together…

It was about remembering who we are, why we’re here, and how we’re meant to walk with one another.
