For Black women, giving birth carries a high risk of death. Advocates are spending a week raising awareness and looking for solutions from Harrisburg.

Cleopatra Robinson, founder and executive director of A Home from Shana Foundation, joined City Councilmember Katherine Gilmore Richardson in early April after the councilmember issued a proclamation recognizing Black Maternal Health Week in the city from Apr. 11 - 17.
