Check out this Cobb ruler! This was used to measure scoliosis curves about 70 years ago. Surgeons would print X-ray films and use this ruler along with a special xray marking pencil to measure the size of the scoliosis. This exact ruler is rumored to be from Dr. Cobbs wife and was obtained during the 1960’s! Check out the name in the top right corner.

Congratulations Dr. Perry Schoenecker! We celebrated a 53 year (and counting) amazing career and the inaugural Dr. Perry Schoenecker Lectureship! I can’t say enough about the impact he has had on generations of surgeons and patients. Truly amazing generational leader and person. Dr. Lenke was the inaugural visiting professor and delivered an absolutely phenomenal lecture. 👏👏👏
