"As a neurosurgeon, I have always been interested in cancers that involve the spine. However, sarcomas that involve the spine are the most challenging by far and require unique and innovative approaches. The multidisciplinary approach of the sarcoma team and the dedication, skill, and empathy of the sarcoma team members inspires me in treating these difficult cancers.
[From my patients,] I’ve learned the true meaning of courage, grit, and fortitude. There is nothing more comforting and uplifting to a cancer patient than the loving support of their family and friends. Your presence means everything."
- Dr. James Schuster, Professor of Neurosurgery, Sarcoma Multidisciplinary Treatment Team Member and Chief of Neurosurgery Service at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center University of Pennsylvania
