February is Black History and American Heart Month! Black Americans continue to experience some of the nation's most severe cardiovascular disease outcomes, driven in part by the high prevalence of risk factors, such as hypertension, diabetes, and preventative care access.

This month, Health Promotion Council of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Inc. is spotlighting ways in which individuals can build and create connections to help address the links between social connectedness and heart health.

Our relationships and connections are often ignored when life gets busy, which can impact heart health. It's important to build and create connections, whether with trying new activities, making plans with friends and family, or giving back to your community. Swipe to see three ways in which you can ensure relationships and connections can be prioritized.
