It took me a while to realize WHY I needed so much sleep.
We are humans, we ALL need sleep.
But, I find in interesting how we all vary on the optimal night of sleep to keep us going, as relatively pleasant humans, throughout the day.
My mom says I went to afternoon kindergarten because I always slept in, in college I could barely stay up past 12:30, as a new parent I happily took the advice “sleep when the baby sleeps” and in partnership I have learned to not push it with my night-owl of a husband, otherwise I turn into a grizzly bear 🐻
My SOMA, my body is like an absorbent sponge when it comes to energy exchange 🧽 As in, it’s hard for me to NOT take on energy outside of myself - often times, without me even realizing it. Part of my adult life’s work has been learning to set & SPEAK both of those physical and energetic boundaries.
