In a raw and often harsh world, there is a little safe haven in Philly that I love to escape to now and again. It is Peter’s chair at D’Ambra’s salon. I walk in, looking as old and worn as I feel, and walk out fresh and renewed and years younger. His easy smile and approachable manner belies his talent and status as a stylist. This chair is meant for a celebrity getting ready for an awards night, yet somehow here I am, a nobody, getting the full star treatment. Thank you Peter. You change lives with just a comb and a pair of scissors.
