At least 170,000 people nationwide are expected to lose their housing because of proposed changes and remaining uncertainty around federal homeless assistance funding. In a recent City and State PA opinion piece, Dr. Jeannine Lisitski, President & CEO of Mental Health Partnerships and a member of the Pathways to Housing PA Board of Directors, outlines the importance of federal funding and the unfounded shift away from permanent supportive housing. At Pathways, we are already feeling the impact of this instability. Funding loss and uncertainty will directly result in some of our participants losing housing. Read more:

Our Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2025 is here! Pathways to Housing PA continued to support more than 550 participants in maintaining stable housing, while the Philadelphia Furniture Bank furnished 1,000+ homes and Good Haul removed the equivalent of 10 rowhomes, floor to ceiling, worth of debris across Philadelphia. These milestones are possible because of the supporters and partners who stand with us in this work.

Please join us in congratulating Rob Wetherington, Director of Community Inclusion and Advocacy, on his 14-year work anniversary at Pathways to Housing PA!

Rob has been with Pathways for a long time and has played an important role in shaping our Community Inclusion and Advocacy work. He started in outreach, helped build the department as it grew, and has led the team for over a decade with a steady, thoughtful approach that centers participant choice, dignity, and community connection. He is also our resident DJ at participant events, a role he takes very seriously. 🎧 We are very grateful to have Rob on our team!

On January 11th, the Philadelphia Furniture Bank was thrilled to host more than 100 volunteers from the PCMA Convening Leaders 2026 conference. In addition, the PCMA Foundation presented a $10,000 check to Pathways to Housing PA! Volunteers helped us build furniture, prepped and cleaned appliances for client usage, sorted books and other items for a future thrift store, and painted our new volunteer space. We are incredibly grateful for PCMA's generous gift and for everyone who volunteered with us!

Many of our participants have shared how isolating chronic homelessness can be, especially when they feel unseen. At Pathways to Housing PA, relational care means showing up, answering the phone, checking in, and being there when it matters.
