As the su***de rate among military personnel continues to rise, it becomes even more crucial to assess for relevant risk factors. According to Bryan, Clemans, Leeson, and Rudd (2015), both acute and chronic stress were found to be directly associated with su***de attempts in active duty soldiers in the U.S. Army, with a stronger association between multiple attempters and prevalence of chronic stress. The authors posit that problem-solving deficits in part explain this finding, as problem-solving impairments yield limited means and resources to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.

To enhance your problem-solving abilities, and reduce unwanted stress in your life, call New Beginnings to learn more about our free, Problem-Solving Training (PST) program.
