Operation Frosty turned 10 this winter, and it still gives us the same feeling it did on day one. A simple idea: make sure older adults have something warm to wear when winter hits.
What MG started locally in Philly has grown into a nationwide coat drive, and this year we got to do it with the support of One Warm Coat, who matches every dollar raised with a warm winter item for someone in need. Add in the continued, incredible support from partners like Beacon Hill and firstPRO, Inc, and it becomes something really special.
Behind the scenes at the office, our team packed coats, hats, scarves, and gloves, and we even had volunteers tuck handwritten holiday notes into pockets, just to make someone smile when they find it.
