Every organization has a culture; the question is whether it was created intentionally or simply allowed to happen. Most teams design goals and structures, not the experience of working. The result?

Pressure is often mistaken for progress. But in reality, alignment and shared purpose are what drive sustainable performance. Read our latest blog post to learn more: https://wix.to/uTG1qPN

Leadership isn’t just public, it’s personal. Check your ego. Question your identity. Turn off autopilot. Why?

Because if you don't, they will end up leading you. Part 5 is live!!

The inner work of leadership means unlearning the stories that served you once… but don’t anymore.

Part 4 is live, and this lesson might be the most important yet. https://www.livingwithshape.com/post/leadership-beyond-...

Part 4 is live, and this lesson might be the most important yet. https://www.livingwithshape.com/post/leadership-beyond-the-office-role-reversal-part-4

Growth, whether in family, relationships, or teams, beats to the rhythm of the little things. Leadership isn’t just about hitting results; it’s about seeing the "invisible work," valuing the small efforts, and building a collaborative mindset.

That’s what creates lasting success, not rigid, solo approaches.

Below, I share a common scenario and how I handled it in both roles. Then, how shifting my mindset broke old patterns of avoidance and silence, replacing them with collaboration and connection.

What stuck patterns are you ready to break?

Leadership isn’t just about how you carry yourself in a room full of people; it’s about how you carry yourself when no one’s watching, especially in your own mind.

For a long time, I defined leadership by performance, presence, and productivity. Then life gave me a full-spectrum experience; I’ve lived as both the primary breadwinner and the primary caregiver at home.

What shifted? Everything.

Part 3 is live: The Middle Ground: Role Reversal - Part 3

This continues the rhythm:

Part 1 was about the thoughts

Part 2 dove into the emotions

And now, in Part 3, we look at the behaviors that emerged in each role.

Role Reversal, Part Two: The Great Flip: https://lnkd.in/eSu7S7ta

There’s real power in the invisible work, the quiet tasks that keep a home or a team running smoothly.

Noticing them. Valuing them. Supporting them. That’s not just empathy, it’s regenerative leadership in action.

In part one, I shared my thoughts. Below are my feelings.

I left my job, and it gave me time to reflect & be the Primary at Home.

Below are the unspoken thoughts I had in each role, along with the leadership lessons I've learned from living both.

It revealed the importance of moving intentionally along the spectrum between "Breadwinner" & "Primary at Home," rather than being stuck in default roles and autopilot patterns.

If you're curious about how these lessons unfolded, here's the first part of a mini blog series sharing my experience switching roles with my partner.

Instilling healthy foundations for families and future generations.

Justin and Priya first met in 2012 during a soccer match. Sharing the love for soccer, it wasn't long before they realized this wasn't the only shared interest. Even before their first date, they were discussing their future plans. Little did they know the seed of Living with SHAPE was planted. Justin was working towards his goal of being a personal trainer and positive role model for teens. While Priya, was just beginning her path towards a doctorate in Child Clinical Psychology.

Now they are happily married and growing their family in the beautiful Denver area. Justin is currently empowering many young adults through Living with SHAPE’s strengths-based coaching program and is also a licensed head coach of a 200X boys soccer team. Furthermore, Priya is currently helping many young children and their families as a doctoral intern at the Jefferson Center for Mental Health.

Together we are building, Living with SHAPE, a strength-based coaching program that helps children, parents, and families live a balanced and healthy life. Strength-based coaching focuses on each family members unique strengths and uses these to only enhance and support healthy family foundations. We offer individual youth sessions, parenting courses, and family sessions.

One of our top priorities is to work collaboratively with you and your family to create specific goals that help you create your healthiest foundation. We incorporate techniques from cognitive-behavior therapy, positive psychology, and physical health encouragement coaching throughout our entire program. We believe that a balanced life is a healthy life; which requires building resiliencies in both your mental and physical health. Thus, our program will integrate research-based treatment techniques recommended to improve both your mental and physical health.
