Real Girl Method Erin Chambers is a certified Pilates and Barre Instructor in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area. Getting in shape shouldn’t be a punishment.

It’s an amazing and empowering lifestyle decision that anyone can make. I believe in finding the pleasurable side of fitness; and while there may be a sore muscle or two along the way, the benefits of fitness are worth the challenge. I have developed my training regime by working with a variety of people, and constantly adapting my program to the needs of my new clients.

The Dolly Sisters, Rosie and Jenny, were Hungarian born identical twins who performed as dancers, singers and actresses in vaudeville and theatre during the 1910s and ‘20s. They also appeared in two silent films in 1915.

Rosie was born Rózsika Deutsch and Jennie was born Janka Deutsch on October 24, 1892 In Balassagyarmat, Hungary.

In 1945, 20th Century Fox released “The Dolly Sisters” a musical starring Betty Grable as Jenny, and June Haver as Rosie.

while there’s no guarantee that you’ll be hired to teach barre at upcycle after you complete your certification, most trainees from our spring 2025 cohort have gone on to teach at various local studios & a few were brought onto our team as well! 🤍⁠

Planks on a reformer are superior to mat planks because the moving carriage and adjustable spring resistance create a dynamic, full-body workout that challenges stability, activates deeper core muscles, and allows for both supportive and intense, high-intensity training. The unstable surface increases core, shoulder, and stabilizer muscle engagement.

join instructor erin chambers () for her comprehensive 50 hour barre teacher training this spring (april-may) at the studio!⁠

this training focuses on teaching you NOT JUST how to lead a fitness class, but instead how to focus on form, adjustments, modifications, and it will help you build a large repertoire of exercises. teaching is a skill and this training will give you the tools and the confidence to fully develop that skill. ⁠

20 hours of weekend sessions, 10 hours of observation, 10 hours of self-practice and 10 hours of assistant teaching will add up to complete your required 50 hours. you MUST complete all hours, and pass the final test/practical to receive your certification.⁠
