Join PHMC subsidiaries National Nurse-Led Care Consortium and Joseph J Peters Institute for Centering Relationships in Our Work with Young Children, a virtual learning collaborative taking place Tuesday, September 23 from 12–1:30 p.m. Learn about elements of reflective supervision, the concept of parallel process, and more. This Learning Collaborative is for supervisors in the infant and early childhood mental health field who are providing reflective supervision or are interested in learning more about how to incorporate this practice into their supervision.

August is World Breastfeeding Month!

Philadelphia historically has had low lactation initiation rates, particularly among Black parents. According to a 2021 report from the Philadelphia Department of Health, only 80% of Black parents in Philadelphia initiate lactation compared to 87% of White parents. By 8 weeks, only 59% of Black parents are breastfeeding compared to 75% of White parents.
