The Community Health Training Alliance (CHTA) is a community and professional training program that offers a year-long series of public workshops, conferences, webinars, and symposiums on health topics that impact our most vulnerable communities.
Through alliances with other organizations and groups, we convene speakers from diverse backgrounds with a priority on elevating the expertise of those with lived experience from around the region on a wide range of topics including the opioid epidemic, hepatitis C, trauma-informed care, s*x work, housing and homelessness, mass incarceration, and more.
By bringing together a range of experts locally, regionally, and nationally, we provide educational workshops to Philadelphia FIGHT patients, general community members, social workers, nurses, medical providers, faith-based groups, educators, and more. Many of our programs offer CEUs for social workers, nurses, and CHES as well as CMEs if the target audience is medical providers. Our unique webinar series offers topics not typically provided to the general public or to those in the field in other formats. As with all our events, we try to prioritize the voices and expertise of those with lived experience as speakers in our webinars.
As a community and professional training program, we recognize the importance of education, skill development, and mastering relevant competencies. Our comprehensive Professional Development Training (PDT) services focus on the practical elements and competencies that support your educational needs through unique interactive styles of teaching. Please visit our PDT page for more information.
Interested in collaborating with us to put on an event, summit, or webinar? Or perhaps you are interested in our PDT services. Contact the Community Health Training Alliance at chta@fight.org.
