484 Boatswain Noah Hall delivered his recently developed PowerPoint focusing on Maritime First Aid to a packed house last evening. Inspired by his tall ship training on the S.S Kalmar Nikel, the program concentrated on a need that is curiously missing from Sea Scout advancement and skillsets especially at the lower ranks. That need: Addressing emergency medical situations on the water when EMS response is not readily available or may be significantly delayed. He received excellent positive feedback from the subject matter experts in attendance (Thank you SME's).

Next step, presentation of a final product to the national Sea Scout leadership. COL Council Commodore Steve Leopold has contacted the national Sea Scouts leadership regarding the excellent potential of Noah's initiative, and is awaiting a response.

Proud to report that the SSTV Windward Flo has met the mighty Delaware River for the 1st time under Sea Scout control. The pairing was accomplished smoothly and without incident. Bravo Zulu crew! NO LEAKS!!!

Skipper Hall teaches motor boating merit badge to our friends from Troop 372 - Tacony! Next step for these Scouts, is some time on the water with the Ship 484 for practical experience.

This is the Windward Flo. She is the latest addition to our two boat flotilla. While we had a wonderfully balanced drop on Wednesday, we had a slight leak on board requiring some additional maintenance in the yard on dry land. A new launch date will be announced. Thanks to the crew members for who came out for the aborted launch.

With some considerable effort, the Chief and Dot's Stole (our yacht club liaisons boat) were reunited with the mighty Delaware this afternoon. Much appreciation to the crew and Delaware River Yacht Club members who contributed to the effort. Next up, the Windward Flo to go in in the near future.

Bravo Zulu to our friends from the USCG Auxiliary Flotilla 053-17-01 Bristol, for once again being awesome partners and delivering the Pa. Boater Safety Class on 12 April. It's our pleasure to report that all participants passed thanks to the tutelage of our outstanding Auxilarist instructors. Mission accomplished. Well done, gentlemen.
