Frequently Unasked Questions:
Will My Breast Implants Freeze in the Cold?
With the thermometer at 18°F, it’s fair to wonder: will breast implants freeze? Not a chance!
If a saline implant were just chillin’ on your lawn, it would freeze solid around 28°F. A silicone gel implant? Still soft—it won’t freeze until about –170°F!
But inside your body, your 98.6°F core temp keeps everything nice and warm. You’d experience hypothermia long before your implants got chilly.
So whether you’re skiing, skating, or sipping cocoa by the fire, there’s no need to worry about your implants freezing. They won’t turn into ice cubes. They might feel a little cooler after a dip in a cold pool (or warmer after a soak in a hot tub), but implants change temperature slowly — especially when placed behind the muscle.
In short: your implants can handle winter better than most of us can. ❄️😉
