When a driver went into medical distress on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, a Chestnut Hill Hospital - Temple Health nurse didn’t hesitate to act.
On her way home from work, Cindy recognized the signs of agonal breathing and began CPR while two Turnpike employees assisted, and first responders were on the way. The driver was later discharged and is recovering.
For Cindy, being a nurse extends beyond the walls of the hospital. And she’s quick to credit the teamwork that made the outcome possible — the Turnpike employees who stopped first and the coordinated response that followed.
