Legacy on Broad

Legacy on Broad is a South Asian fusion dance competition taking place in the city of brotherly love This year Legacy has teamed up with Sharing Excess.

Legacy on Broad lays out a stage for fusion dance teams from all over the nation to share a story and give it their all to leave their dance legacy in the city of Philadelphia. Ten teams will come together on one stage to battle for the first place trophy and cash prizes! Legacy not only provides dancers the opportunity to showcase their talents but also raises awareness for important causes in the world. Together in this partnership, we will help reduce food waste and support Philadelphia’s food-insecure communities.

Every race needs a master strategy behind it all🧐🏁 Meet Legacy On Broad’s 2026 Board of Directors 🏎️

A fantasy football liability 🏈🥴 (Lamar Jackson as her QB… ?? enough said 🫢). Introducing our Director of Internal Logistics, Arya Rajesh! Rarely seen before 11am ⏰😴 and when she is, it’s a mix of stimming 🎶🌀 or filming yet another TikTok 🤦🏽‍♀️ (maybe she should’ve been on marketing 😂). Obsessed with chopped cheeses 🥪🧀 and physically incapable of walking more than 10 steps without finding a seat, this director is ready to handle all your logistical needs 📋… if she manages to leave her bed and heating pad that is 😹

Wait pause— ✋🏽 meet our Director of External Logistics, Ish*ta Chavan! She can and will turn anything into a sticker 🖨️💥 (it’s an epidemic 💔). If you hear “wait pause,” “oh gosh,” or “hehe,” just know she’s nearby 👀. Say ramen 3x 🍜🍜🍜 and she’ll appear as the personal marketer for “Noodle BLVD” 😉📣. Always having war flashbacks to some event 😵‍💫 9 times out of 10 she’ll still find time to call you “Brotha” or drop a pun-heavy joke that she’s painfully confident will land 💀🗣️ l

Rounding off the South Brunswickites is our Director of Design & Media, Rhea Mishra! Expect Staying true to her title expect 💯 of TikToks daily 📲… but don’t expect her to answer her phone 📵. she loves her winter trips to NYC 🗽🖤 all because she gets to wear her trench coat🧥 and while on the train she’ll be solving those NYT crosswords 🧩 (…with hints of course 🤭). But for the most part you can probably find her at Pulse🍸💃🏽, with her mary poppins-esque purse👜✨, and a green tea shot in hand🍹😌

Chicaaagooo chicaaagooo!!! 📣🎶 Kidding — he’s from Connecticut. Meet our Director of Finance, Keshav Ramesh! He def won’t get arrested for tax fraud 📊🚫 but somehow he almost got arrested in Egypt 😳… and also in Budapest 😬 (uhhh we need a story time for this one)! Don’t worry guys he has been places without committing crimes too…right? 🤨 But if you roast any Boston team ever 🏀⚾🏒… well, let’s just say we might hear some sirens 🚨😵

Yo whose glasses are these? 🤓 They were found in Nashville..?!📍Must be our first unc.. I mean Advisor — Athul Nair! 👴🏽💼 He really is blind without them… 👀❌ no wonder he’s always five inches away from his monitor 💻😵‍💫
Need proof? 📸 We’ll take a pic next meeting since that’s his 2k time anyways 🎮😂 The only way to summon him? Shout “Michigan” three times 📣〽️… he’ll pull up yapping about the Lions 🦁 or Pistons 🏀 (atrocious choices 🤢 but we’ll blame the old age ⏳👴🏽).But after many years of dedication to DDN 🫡❤️ it’s time to retire ✨ so let’s raise a glass of Franzia 🍷🥂 for our very own 🩰

Our next Advisor Nisha Mistry! 👩🏽‍💼💫 We call her many things… mom 👩🏽‍🍼, sis 👯‍♀️, the other longest serving DDN member ever 🏆 (she’s actually done this year trust 🤞🏽). No really, with a 10pm bedtime 🌙😴, there’s no way she could be at practice… she barely makes it to meetings ⏰🙃. Either way we receive text updates in the morning 📱☀️ with typos so insane 🤯⌨️ she basically invents a new language 🧠📖 And to conclude we would like to remind everyone one last time ⏱️📣 that she is short 🐍🤏🏽

We did say “ALMOST veteran” last year… well she’s still here! 😮‍💨👏🏽 We’ve got our Hospitality Advisor, Sruthi Abraham! 💼✨When she’s not knee deep in dental school 🦷📚, she pops by to say hi on meetings 👋🏽💻 (now she just needs to pop by comp weekend 🗓️👀). From being a fire hip-hop dancer 💃 to sleeping in a random airport ✈️🛫 in Kazakhstan (because… why not 🤷🏽‍♀️), you truly never know what’s coming next😮‍💨 A self-proclaimed TikTok Shop entrepreneur 📦📱 (read: pyramid scheme CEO 📈😬)—please do NOT buy her products 😭💀. Certified Bonchon connoisseur 🍗 (those trash cans won’t finish themselves 😅). And don’t get it twisted… she knows ball 🏀—count on her to have your back ☺️

Have you ever heard of Indian Rapunzel? 👸🏽👀 Meet our other Liaison Coordinator, Neha Yerra!her hair once touched the ground… and be honest, has anyone seen her and Rapunzel in the same room? 🤨 She’s an elite pesto pasta chef 🍝🌿, effortlessly hilarious 😭😂, and a professional troll 😈. Fair warning: don’t go to the movies with her 🎬🙅🏽‍♀️—the biggest critic you’ll ever meet 🎥✨. Our fav UPitt pre-med brainiac with answers for everything 😉

Our first Staff Coordinator might look a little familiar..🤔 Meet Amari Patel! Who’s been a liaison for not one, but THREE others (i mean talk about commitment😮‍💨) Some might say she was nepo’d in by her older sister🤭👯‍♀️… and others might say it’s her unmatched commitment, hard work, and dedication…. to spending 80% of photoshoot sitting in the trunk of a car 🙂‍↔️🚙 So versatile she started at IU Kelley📚 for a year and said “actually…” before transferring to UCF☀️🐊. America may run on Dunkin, but Taco Bell runs on our first Design & Media Chair, Rishi Baru 🌮🔥 — a man with a record-breaking 90k Taco Bell points (yes. we checked 😂). I mean, something’s gotta fuel those insane betkes 🕺🏽 (you can literally smell the passion). That’s not the only dancing he does… just ask the bouncers at Midnight & The Wicked 😭🔊. After all that, a guy’s gotta eat — and you can always count on Rishi to find the best microwave to reheat leftover Taco Bell 🌯. He can cook too, ladies 👀🍳 (🙏🏽 DM us, we’re trying to ).

You guys… we’ve got our very own Cobra Kai 🐍🥋 — Design & Media Chair Ananya Dhruva! She’s got a second-degree black belt (casual 😮‍💨) which she obviously uses for Kickin’ It–themed TikToks 💥📱. Every system runs on vibes, experience, and a great glass of wine (especially Stella Rosa)🍷🍷 Meet our first Registration Chair Trisha Natarajan 💃🏽✨ The grandma of the group 👵🏽 you can always count on her to take care of you… if she’s not busy munching on Cava 🥗 Rumor has it she spent 50% of senior year there, the other 50%? Yapping about tennis 🎾 ( wya 😏). The best shotgun passenger ever, always blasting throwbacks 🎶🎵 (Pitbull + Jo Bros for the most part) and just as many Tamil bangers 😌 If you hear “cAn We MaKe tHiS BhAnGra tiktok,” we advise you to dhamaal away (kidding, she’s 🔥)

Meet Simrahn Bidaye, our multitasking queen 🙇🏽‍♀️🙇🏽‍♀️ So skilled, she once did her entire makeup routine during a team meeting (OKAYYY GRWM 🔥😛). Those aren’t the only names we’ve got for him! He is also known as the “King of kuthu” 🕺🏽 or “that one premed guy studying neuroscience in the corner”. 🩺 (why does this committee always have some pre-med kid 🤔). We know we know, thats SOOO many names to remember… but don’t feel too bad because he probably doesn’t remember your names either 😧😧(apparently he didn’t have anyone’s number saved because his pHonE wAs bRokEn)😵‍💫. Did you guys really think the NC ➡️ PHL pipeline ended last year 🤨 Well guess again 😉 Vaasu Baxi, ex-cap turned Technology Chair🧑🏽‍💻 has got you covered with all of your production needs… but beware, you may hear a faint ‘FWÆH’ or ‘SEEYUHH’ as he changes your lighting cues!🧛🏽And if you don’t hear either of those you’ll at least hear him munching in the back … our board meetings are just an extension of his dinner time guys🫃🏽. Maybe if he paid attention we wouldn’t get a “huh??” from him after every sentence (the man definitely has some hearing issues 😐😐 ). Meet Shanmathee aka Shannu, our other Technology Chair 🎧✨ As we all know this is the most innovative committee of all… The girl is so innovative she even microwaves her ice cream for 🔟 seconds before eating it 🍨.
