The Transplant Pregnancy Registry International (TPRI) is an ongoing research study focused on the effects of pregnancy on transplant recipients and the effects of immunosuppressive medications on fertility and pregnancy outcomes.

If you have had a pregnancy post-transplant or fathered a pregnancy post-transplant, we welcome you to register with us! The information not only helps recipients who have questions about pregnancy post-transplant, but also helps health care professionals within the transplant and women's health communities.

Welcome to another TPRI 🧠✨
Let’s talk about medications and pregnancy post-transplant. ✅

For individuals who are pregnant after a transplant, medication safety is extra important. The goal is to protect both the graft and the growing baby.

Below you will find a chart from our 2024 Annual Report. This chart lists common transplant maintenance immunosuppressive medications, including a concise overview of medications generally considered safer, and those typically avoided during pregnancy.

đź’ˇ Every patient is unique. Medication management during pregnancy after transplant must be individualized and coordinated between a transplant specialist and a maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) team. Patients should never adjust or discontinue immunosuppression without medical guidance.

🌼Welcome to another ! Did you know there’s a registry dedicated to studying pregnancy after organ transplant?

The Transplant Pregnancy Registry International (TPRI) gathers decades of data from transplant recipients (women who have had a pregnancy post-transplant and men who father children post-transplant) to track pregnancy outcomes, long-term health of parents and babies, and how immunosuppressive medications impact fertility and safety.

Since 1991, the TPRI has gathered data from thousands of transplant recipients, providing valuable insights that can guide family-planning decisions for transplant recipients and their care teams.

For females who are thinking about a pregnancy after their solid organ transplant, the TPRI can help answer key questions like: “Which medications are considered safe during pregnancy?”, “What timing and pre-pregnancy health status help support a healthy pregnancy?”, and “What are common outcomes for babies and mothers after transplant?”

If you or someone you know is considering pregnancy after transplant or wants to plan for parenthood, please reach out to the TPRI as a trusted resource.

Visit transplantpregnancyregistry.org to learn more or reach out. đź’š
