🔥 STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Meet Chaim! 🔥
One of our most dedicated students and a total inspiration on (and off) the mat. He has consistently supported HYP and has been one of our strongest members of our community, on and off the mat. 🙌
🧘♂️ Favorite Pose?
“It’s impossible to choose just one! So many poses I used to dread have become my strongest—and it keeps happening. Honestly, it all depends on the day and how I’m feeling.”
⏰ Preferred Class Time:
“Evenings! My body is way happier later in the day. Mornings? Tight city.”
💪 Most Challenging Part of the Practice:
“Showing up. I’ve been committed for three years now, practicing 3–4 times a week. It’s still a decision I make daily to fit class into everything else going on.”
✨ How He Overcomes It:
“I remind myself that this studio and this practice make me a better, stronger person.”
🔥 When He Started Practicing:
“My first Bikram class was in 2010 during a chaotic early-20s phase. Even though I wasn’t ready to commit then, I knew this practice would be part of my future. Even when I could barely make it through class, I walked out feeling like a brand-new person.”
💥 Why He Keeps Practicing Now:
“When I step into the hot room, everything stops. I’m finishing my first semester of law school, so those 75–90 minutes are my reset—space to breathe, check in, and work hard physically and mentally.”
🎶 Favorite Musician:
“It’s impossible to choose… but if I had to, Lady Gaga.”
🍽 Favorite Philly Eats:
“Philly is an incredible food city. Even after 4+ years, I’m still finding gems. Favorites include Butcher & Singer, Zahav, Dizengoff, and Middle Child—so many great options!”
🏋️ Other Fitness Loves:
“I’ve gotten really into lifting over the last few years. Finals have slowed me down, but I’ll be back at it soon!”
