It has been a busy day with many smiles and I have found out that some ladies are familiar with packing those bags. We still have plenty of ice cream and popcorn and we will be open until 5 today. Tomorrow will be our last day.

Valued customers, Philadelphia, and Neshoba County,

We have been deeply moved by the outpouring of love and support for Larry and the Stribling Drug Store family. After 77 years of serving this community, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors.

Since 1948, first Jack and then Larry Stribling have been proud to provide friendly, dependable service to generations of Neshoba Countians. As a family business, we’ve always thought of you as part of our family, too. Like family, the drug store has been a constant in our lives, creating countless joyful memories over the years, memories made possible only through your support and patronage.

Thank you to the morning coffee club, to the school kids who crowded the soda fountain after school, to the downtown merchants who stopped in daily, and to the countless loyal employees who became family over the years. And thank you to everyone who let us serve you, whether it was a late-night prescription or a milkshake on a hot day. That commitment to service is what defined Stribling Drug Store, and it is what we hope you will always remember.

As we close, we do so with full hearts and lasting gratitude. Before our doors shut for good, stay tuned as we’ll reopen briefly for a final retail sale—a last chance to share a story, enjoy a milkshake, and wish Larry a happy retirement.
