Today we were in court fighting to Save The Meadows. The City of Philadelphia says we have no case because
1.. We waited too late
2. once the master plan for FDR Park was published, we should have known what was going to happen and it was our lack of due diligence that resulted in not being aware of the damage and destruction that would occur.
I’m not sure any of us could be prepared for what actually happened as many of their renderings show their idealized completion, not the reality of playing fields with no shade, air filtration or tree canopy to prevent South Philly from becoming a heat island because the replacement saplings they’re planting after decimating mature heritage trees are not equivalent.
But why would the City & FPC let the truth get in the way of good spin? Especially when they’ve got glossy renderings.

When life is challenging, you owe it to yourself, as a means of self preservation to find something that makes you happy, something that makes you smile, lightens the load, or in the words of Marie Kondo, “sparks joy”. If you can’t find it in the present, think about a time when you were happy.
Pictures are great. There’s nothing like a shot of you in an unfortunate haircut, or an outfit that, in retrospect begs the question, “what the hell was I thinking?” But look, we got through it. We survived. We just need a little reminder of how strong we are and how happy we can be. This to shall pass!

AI is developing characters you’ll trust. Simple living Amish, black & native herbal healers, wise & grannywomen. That doesn’t sit well with REAL old Crones like me. So be smart, check ur sources. Do they have a history, a trail? Is the script or slick background  repeated in videos? Is their story consistent? AI knows likability= trust=$pend. Due diligence is key. Hint, Amish aren’t selling detox supplements on Amazon
