For the month of February, our Sanctuary Theme was Non-Violence. Teams across the agency embraced this important focus by participating in activities that promoted peace, safety, and compassion in our work and interactions.

The Finance and Facilities Team demonstrated their commitment to the theme by creating peace origami cranes. The crane, widely recognized as a symbol of hope, healing, and peace, served as a meaningful reminder of our shared responsibility to practice non-violence in our words, actions, and decisions each day.

We invite you to join us for the next Parent/Caregiver Workshop: CCTC Workshop with the Free Library: Play and Literacy on Tuesday, March 17th at 12 PM. This workshop is presented by Presented by Christina Holmes, Branch Manager & Children's Librarian at Blanche A. Nixon/Cobbs Creek Library.

CCTC's favorite Children's Librarian, Ms. Chris, is back to talk to us about the important connections between playing and reading. We will learn how play can support literacy development and how YOU can encourage these skills in your children. She will also talk about some of the ways that your neighborhood library can provide playful learning opportunities and share information on the Philadelphia Free Library's MANY resources and programs (hint: there's more than just books!)

THIS WORKSHOP IS FREE and available to everyone, although pre-registration is required. Most CCTC workshops can be used for one hour of Parenting Education credits. This workshop will be presented in English.
