Bread is not the enemy. But most of the bread on grocery store shelves isn’t real bread.

Here are 6 things I look for every time I buy bread, and why each one matters for how your body actually feels.

The short version: whole grain, organic, short ingredient list, no corn syrup or hydrogenated oils, skip the additives you can’t pronounce, and when in doubt buy sourdough.

The human body has been running on bread for over 20,000 years. The problem was never bread. It’s what modern food production did to it.

The full story, the history, the science, the gluten debate, and how to use bread strategically, is Episode 21 of Feeling Good Feels Good. Link in bio.

Some of our favorite patients don’t say much during their session.

Being born is one of the most physically demanding things a human body ever goes through. The pressure, the position, the shock to a brand new nervous system, it’s a lot for someone so small.

We believe chiropractic care for babies should start as early as possible. The results we see in newborns are some of the most remarkable in our practice. Faster than almost any other patient we treat.

Taking care of a baby takes a village. A pediatric chiropractor belongs in that village.

If you have a newborn or know someone who does, Bring them in. One evaluation can make a real difference.

Episode 21 is live, and we’re starting with the most surprising part.

Sourdough wasn’t invented. It happened. Ancient Egyptians left grain and water out in the open air, wild yeast moved in, and the dough came alive.

That accident changed bread, and human civilization, forever.

And here’s what makes sourdough different from everything else on the shelf. The fermentation process breaks down gluten, lowers the glycemic response, and makes the nutrients in the grain actually available to your body. It behaves completely differently than commercial bread. Your gut knows the difference.
Episode 21 covers the full story: 20,000 years of bread history, the real science behind carbs and energy, gluten, whole grains, and why bread isn’t the enemy you’ve been told it is.

What can we learn about building habits from Homer Simpson and Walter White? Well, actually a lot.

Maybe we don’t want to have the same habits that they have, but their habits are predictable based on their character and identity.

Rather than trying to change your habits first, craft the identity of the person you want to become. Then let your habits flow from that.

Pressure on the low back can build up fast. A chiropractic adjustment can greatly decrease that pressure, often creating a big shift in how it feels right away.

Sometimes it just builds up and becomes too much, but relief can be simple to get.

One of the 6 pieces of my habit-sticking formula: reward yourself for doing the habit.

Want the full formula? Check out Episode 20 of Feeling Good Feels Good, available on all streaming platforms.

Rewarding yourself may seem simple and obvious, but a lot of us actually do the opposite. We delay the reward, minimize our wins, and make things harder on ourselves.

When you’re starting a new habit, rewarding yourself matters because it reinforces the behavior. Your brain starts to associate the habit with something positive, which makes you more likely to repeat it. Over time, this builds momentum and helps the habit stick.

Feeling good fuels consistency, and consistency is what creates real change.
