We join our city in mourning the passing of Isaiah Zagar, the visionary artist whose mosaics transformed South Philadelphia and beyond into vibrant works of art. Best known as the creative force behind Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, Zagar’s mirrored masterpieces also adorned homes throughout Washington Square West, Bella Vista, and the facade of the Painted Bride Art Center.

His work did more than decorate walls — it defined neighborhoods and inspired generations. May his memory be a blessing, and may the beauty he brought to Philadelphia continue to reflect his extraordinary spirit.

At Goldstein’s Rosenberg’s Funeral Directors, we pause to honor the life of Eric Dane, who passed away at the age of 53 after a courageous battle with ALS.

Known to many for his unforgettable roles on Grey’s Anatomy and Euphoria, Eric brought depth, charisma, and humanity to every character he portrayed. Yet beyond the screen, he was remembered by those closest to him as a devoted father, a loyal friend, and a man of quiet strength. When he publicly shared his diagnosis, he did so with honesty and bravery, helping to shine a light on a devastating disease while continuing to work and inspire.

His legacy is not only found in the scenes that captivated millions, but in the resilience he showed, the love he gave his family, and the awareness he helped raise.

May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him and to the many who admired him from afar.
