In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my clients individual needs to help attain the personal growth they’re striving for. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
We have over 20 years of experience evaluating and treating children and adults with ADHD. We offer proven organizational strategies to help our clients succeed in school, work and at home. We coordinate with parents, teachers and students to develop accommodations. We communicate with medical doctors regarding medication options as needed. Parenting Strategies
We help parents create goals for improved parenting with a focus on positive communication, whether parents are married, living together or going through separation and/or divorce. Couple and Family Therapy
Couples and families can fall into negative patterns of communication and relating. We offer counseling to help couples and families to create a safe and positive environment and to communicate effectively as they meet life's challenges. Special Education
We support students and parents in successfully navigating the special education system. We review school and private psychological evaluations and Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) and attend IEP meetings to help parents, students and schools negotiate the best plan for students. Substance Abuse Issues
The impact of substance abuse can have a devastating effect on individuals and families. We help our clients develop an action plan for recovery. We support family members who are coping with the stress of having someone they love abusing substances, gambling or overspending. Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
We support clients who have experienced abuse or trauma by using proven cognitive-behavioral therapy strategies and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Grief and Loss
Coping with the loss of a loved one or a job can be one of life's more difficult challenges. We have extensive experience helping our clients work through the natural feelings that are a part of grief and loss. We help clients to develop avenues of meaning from the loss and to stay connected to that meaning in the future. Anger Management
We all experience situations where we feel angry, as children, teens or adults. Understanding how we express anger is critical in how we relate to others and how we feel about ourselves. We teach our clients to devise effective and healthy strategies in coping with anger and utilizing these techniques over time. Stress Management Strategies
The demands of life can often become overwhelming. We have experience in teaching our clients relaxation exercises and visualization techniques to help cope with life stress. We help clients explore options for managing stress in more mindful, manageable and positive ways. Geriatrics

It can take courage to grow older, especially as we face medical and emotional challenges. Our therapists have expertise in supporting and helping clients understand the natural changes that accompany aging. Comprehensive Evaluations for Disability

It is critical for clients who are applying for disability to have a detailed psychological evaluation. We review any background material and work with clients and attorneys to provide psychological evaluations for English and Spanish-speaking clients. Immigration

The process of obtaining citizenship can be a difficult one, especially for clients who have significant psychological challenges and who are not literate in either English or their native language. We offer psychological evaluations for clients who may qualify for a waiver for the citizenship test. We work with attorneys to provide these evaluations in a timely manner. Cross-cultural diversity

Understanding the issues facing clients from different parts of the world is of great importance. Our group has a keen awareness of the challenges facing clients who may not speak English fluently and are adjusting to life in the United States. The value that people bring from a variety of cultures into the United States is a consistent part of our therapeutic approach.
