Jett is a Patient Ambassador who is dedicated to giving back to his fellow patients and our hospital. He makes homemade care packages throughout the year for patients and held a fundraiser where he raised over $3,000 for our hospital. 👏

Despite his own medical journey with scoliosis and other orthopedic conditions, he continues to give back. Jett also recognizes the impact of sharing his story with others. He said, “Sharing my story helps other kids know they’re not alone. If I can make even one kid smile or feel brave, then I’m doing something really important.”👏

We have a very special episode of Shriners Philly Carpool Karaoke Remixed! 🧡🎤🎶

April is Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month! Orange is the color assigned to this month, so Luis, Cheryl, Becky and Stella 🐶 all wore orange to support! 🧡

Luis works in Pediatric Orthotic and Prosthetic Services (POPS), where he makes all sorts of prosthetics and orthotics customized for patients. 🦿👏

Cheryl is an occupational therapist who helps patients gain independence in completing everyday tasks, and supports them in achieving all their goals. 👏✨

Stella is a puppy with a limb difference, and we are so excited she joined us as a special guest for this episode! 🤩

⭐Free, family-friendly drop-in open house (come anytime before 2!)

⭐Current and past staff, current and past patients, Shriners, Donors, and others

⭐No formal program, free-flowing, self-guided event. However, at 11:45 AM, former patient Timmy Kelly sings. 12:15 PM: former patient photo; 12:30 PM: current patient photo.

⭐A casual celebration ahead of our actual 100th Anniversary in June.

Lily is a patient at Shriners Children’s Philadelphia who was diagnosed with scoliosis, a curvature of the spine, when she was 5. Through scoliosis bracing, measured for customization by our Pediatric Orthotic and Prosthetic Services (POPS) department, Lily reduced her curve without needing surgery.

In Lily’s free time, she competes on her school’s varsity basketball team and plays French horn in the school band. She also enjoys reading and playing piano. She has a bright future ahead of her, and we are excited to see all she will accomplish! 🥰
