So sorry for the loss of John Loughrin. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a longtime member of St. Matthew’s, he lived a life centered around family, hard work, and helping others. THE BEACH included the shoreline along the Delaware River from Somerset Street north to Lewis Street. In this area some of the first Eastern European immigrants to settle in Port Richmond occupied clapboard “beach houses,” some of which were built on stilts to make amends for the Delaware River tidal waters (ca. 1890 – 1920)

It is with deep sadness that we share the sudden passing of Sharon M. Stabler on February 23, 2026, at the age of 76. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Sharon lived a life centered on family, love, and quiet strength. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

We are saddened to share the passing of Donald “Don” Burrows, who passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Don lived a life defined by quiet strength, kindness, and creativity. A proud Army paratrooper, gifted artist, and friend to many, he leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.
