June 19, 2024 is the 4th anniversary of Juneteenth’s official recognition as a federal holiday in the U.S. and it marks the day when enslaved Black Americans in Galveston, Texas, were informed of their freedom two and a half years after President Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863.
Today, we honor the resilience and strength of the Black community in their fight for freedom and justice. Let's use this day as a catalyst to drive meaningful change and create a society where equality is not just a dream, but a reality for all.
