Closing out AYA Cancer Awareness Week 💛

Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Awareness Week shines a light on those diagnosed between ages 15–39 — a community too often overlooked, yet facing unique physical, emotional, and identity-shifting challenges.

At 27, AnaOno founder Dana Donofree was one of them.

In the midst of building her career, planning her wedding, and living her life, Dana was diagnosed with breast cancer — a moment that would change everything.

After undergoing a mastectomy and reconstruction, she found herself navigating a reality no one prepares you for: a body that felt unfamiliar, and a world where nothing — not even lingerie — was designed for it.

So she created what didn’t exist.

AnaOno was born from Dana’s lived experience — redefining intimates for those impacted by breast cancer and ensuring that no one has to choose between comfort and feeling like themselves.

This week, and every week, we honor the resilience of the AYA community — and the voices, like Dana’s, that turn pain into purpose.

 3. If something feels off, advocate for yourself and ask for additional screening — knowing is always better than not knowing.

 4. If a lump, bump, or skin change leads to a  diagnosis, seek out resources to help guide you.
