Anti-Violence Partnership of Philadelphia

Anti-Violence Partnership of Philadelphia Est. 1983, AVP is a victim service agency that provides free support services to victims of violence.

Since 1983, the mission of Anti-Violence Partnership of Philadelphia (AVP) has been to reduce the cycle of violence by providing an array of intervention, prevention, and support services to people of all ages who have been a victim of violence and/or have lost a loved one to homicide. AVP does so through its three main service deliveries: Victim/Witness Services, Counseling Services, and Youth Services. These services include, but are not limited to, court accompaniment, support groups, individual and group therapy, and system advocacy. AVP’s dedicated team of professional victim advocates, therapists, and counselors –many of whom identify as victims/survivors– take a holistic approach to victimization by providing integrated, comprehensive, and collaborative services. Through client support, institutional partnerships, and community relationships, AVP addresses not only the emotional, safety, and financial needs of crime victims and survivors, but the underlying factors of violence and trauma of victimization to promote meaningful healing and advance community safety.

If you’re attending, we would love for you to join these conversations—your voice and presence matter.

On September 11, AVP will also be honored to receive the Governor's Victim Service Pathfinder Survivor Activist Award in memory of our founder, Deb Spungen. Deb passed last year on September 12, and while she is dearly missed, her vision and courage continue to guide everything we do. Accepting this award on her behalf is both a privilege and a reminder of the lasting impact one person can make in transforming a field. 💙

We look forward to connecting with you at .
