This week, our AVP team is grateful to join colleagues at the The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD)'s Pathways for Victim Services Conference —a space for connection, learning, and strengthening our shared commitment to survivors.
We’re especially proud that several of our staff will be presenting their expertise:
✨ Wed, September 10 | 1:00–2:15 PM | African Suite 50
Reimagining Care: Vicarious Trauma, Burnout, and the Real Work of Supporting Caregivers
with Dr. Jamie Eaddy
✨ Wed, September 10 | 4:00–5:15 PM | African Suite 40
Beyond Trauma: Understanding Grief and Ambiguous Loss in Victim Advocacy
with Lorenzo Shedrick & Diamond Walker
If you’re attending, we would love for you to join these conversations—your voice and presence matter.
On September 11, AVP will also be honored to receive the Governor's Victim Service Pathfinder Survivor Activist Award in memory of our founder, Deb Spungen. Deb passed last year on September 12, and while she is dearly missed, her vision and courage continue to guide everything we do. Accepting this award on her behalf is both a privilege and a reminder of the lasting impact one person can make in transforming a field. 💙
We look forward to connecting with you at .
