History

Roll for Progress was founded in 2019 by Brennan Jordan in order to help kids and teens reach their highest potential through the use of therapeutic gaming. In the past few years several groups of therapists around the country have begun to use modified table top games such as Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder to help children develop better social skills and healthy coping strategies to improve their overall functioning. These groups have been used often as either an adjunct to therapy or in lieu of traditional therapy.

In 2015, after years of working full time as a mental health therapist Brennan transitioned into administrative roles serving as a Clinical Supervisor for various mental health agencies. These positions required him to shift the majority of his time from working directly with clients to training and supporting new therapists. Brennan’s passion for table top gaming and desire to spend more time directly helping kids in a therapeutic setting led him to found Roll for Progress.
