y investigations in the tri state area rippling into various parts of the country including Florida. Kapil has been a force for patient advocacy, social justice, citing research and information to hold corrupt, fraudulent treatment facilities accountable. Kapil has also participated with local and National reporting agencies both inside and outside of the counseling field across the country working closely with advocates who came before him, most notably Greg Horvath. Matthew’s University for three years, Kapil Nayar took a leave of absence to pursue a Masters Degree in the Clinical Counseling Psychology from La Salle University. Kapil pursued his passion for alternative treatment options by obtaining a hypnotherapy certification as well as a mindfulness based stress reduction certification. During his time, Kapil has practiced hypnotherapy and mindfulness based stress reduction in a private practice setting. He has taken this opportunity to obtain information of the effectiveness of both practices in the treatment of various ailments. Since Medical School, Kapil has focused in inpatient and outpatient settings, along with private practice settings. Kapil was a therapist at a major inpatient facility in New Jersey, then ventured to a director role at a large outpatient facility in Pennsylvania. All the while, he was practicing within a private practice as a hypnotherapist and mindfulness based stress reduction leader in New Jersey and surrounding tri-state area. During this time he has developed client management skills while acquiring savvy in analyzing information regarding client outcomes and results post treatment. Kapil has sought out education to further develop his alternative psychodynamic approach to the treatment of clients. He obtained Masters degrees in Clinical Counseling Psychology, along with Psychopharmacology, and qualified for licensure as a Professional Counselor, and an Accredited Clinical Supervisor. He now works in a private practice setting with professionals who share his sense of compassion, integrity, willingness to reflect, ‘out of box’ thinking, desire to grow and commitment to change.

April’s gonna be wild. Kicking off the month, we’re very excited to announce an impact screening 4/2 at Brown University School of Public Health with very special guest Thomas McLellan. IYKYK. This is not to be missed.

No foot off the brake either. 4/3 has us screening at Harvard University!

From there we’re on to Portland and Salem, OR 4/8+9 The Bay Area for 2 screenings 4/15+16, exciting appearances 4/16+17 at the Cleveland International Film Festival, followed by the Carlow School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston and the Grayken Center for Addiction in Boston.

Exciting mix of screenings this month, kicking off with the Master's Program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Villanova University and the Center for Addiction and Recovery at St Joseph's University in Philadelphia, followed by Greenfield Community College.

We're thrilled to announce two festival appearances: Justice Film Festival in New York City and our first screening in Utah at DOCUTAH Film Festival.

We'll cap off the month with a week-long run at the Digital Gym in San Diego.
