What is an Ashiatsu Massage?

Ashiatsu massage is a type of barefoot massage therapy where the therapist uses their feet to apply deep, broad, and consistent pressure to the client's body. The therapist balances with their body weight using overhead bars or ropes, allowing for a deep massage with long, smooth strokes. This technique provides deep pressure without the discomfort of using elbows or thumbs and is often used for athletes and those with chronic pain.

Therapist uses deep compression stokes that glide over the body. Relieves muscle spasms and opens the intervertebral foramen, giving the nerves more space to move. Increases circulation by bringing more freshly oxygenated blood to the area. Relieves muscular discomfort, provides deep relaxation and stimulate the lymphatic system of the body. The biggest benefit of the Ashiatsu Massage is that after few treatments it will help to improve your posture and movement while relieving pain, encouraging bodily functions and creating a state of well being.

Our practice is currently looking for licensed massage therapists for chair massage events. The pay is $75/hr/1099. Typically, the gig payment is processed within the week, post event. The therapist must have their own transportation, massage chair preferably (could be provided) and any other tools needed like disinfectant, paper towels, timer etc. If you are interested please reach out to set up an interview. The interview will include a 30 min chair massage.

If the interview goes well we will require you fill out a W-9 for tax purposes and payroll.
