Patient Recognition Week 💙

This week and throughout the year, we honor the patients and families who place their trust in Flying Angels. Being entrusted to transport someone’s loved one, often during one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives, is a responsibility we never take lightly.

From coast to coast and around the world, our coordinators and nurses are privileged to help patients get closer to family, closer to home, or closer to the continued care they need. Every flight represents courage, hope, and a shared commitment to compassionate care.

To the patients we’ve had the honor of serving, and to the families who walk this journey alongside them: thank you for trusting us. It is truly our privilege to be part of your story.

When we receive a review from a patient or a family member, it truly touches our hearts. Those words affirm why we do this work every day. Every once in a while, however, a review comes along that is entirely unexpected.

This one is meaningful because it didn’t come from a patient or loved one, but from an observant traveler who witnessed Flying Angels care firsthand.

To be seen—quietly, respectfully, and without expectation—means everything to us. This review reflects not only Tony’s exceptional skill and compassion, but the heart of every Flying Angels flight nurse: dignity, vigilance, and unwavering care.

We are incredibly proud of our entire team and grateful for moments like this that remind us how deeply our work matters.

The US Cooperative for International Patient Programs (USCIPP), a Program of NCHL, was a truly special first-time experience for Flying Angels.

What an incredible opportunity to connect with so many remarkable US-based provider organizations committed to international patient care. The conversations around supporting patients who travel to the U.S. for treatment, fostering cross-border healthcare partnerships, and expanding global access to high-quality U.S. medical expertise were nothing short of magical.

A heartfelt thank you to Jarrett Fowler, Alia Ibrahim, Christina Volpicelli, Kati Harmon, and your entire team for bringing us all together for such a meaningful and wonderfully successful event. 💖
