She had one child, one grandchild and she passed away much sooner than expected. Her son eulogized her with grace, and spoke of the hardest thing that he had to do during this difficult experience of his mother's death...start cleaning out the belongings from her home. While doing so, he found a book that his mother had purchased "How to be a good grandmother" I've never heard a crowd get shook and say "awe" and be moved like that by a single sentence in a eulogy. The departed was described as selfless, kind and nice....and that was evident by the great many flowers that lined the center aisle of St. Dominic Church today. Such a small family....such a big crowd...which said it all. Her loved ones and friends sent her off proper....she was laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery.

Today we held a funeral in Our Lady of Calvary Church for a man that was loved and respected by many. He and his wife, of over 58 years, raised their family in Mayfair, was heavily involved in his beloved St. Tim's and North Catholic. The line of mourners went out the front doors of the church for the entirety of the gathering. The departed was eulogized by his son, PERFECTLY, who made those in attendance, laugh, think, cry and reminisce about his father and their time in Mayfair, where it was awesome. Many years ago, their son/brother died tragically and unexpectedly...which was touched on during the eulogy. He quotes his father as saying "My faith got me through that horrible time" It is my belief that father and son are now reunited in a place of incredible goodness that can't be described, accurately. That's what faith gives us. Fr. Joe Campellone (a close family friend) celebrated the mass and did an incredible job as always.
