Binocular Vision Center Welcome to the official page of Binocular Vision Center, located in Harleysville, PA! We specialize in vision therapy tailored to individual patient needs.

Welcome to the official page of Binocular Vision Center, located in Harleysville, Pennsylvania! We are part of Eye Associates, which has locations in Harleysville, Lansdale, Schwenksville, and Chadds Ford, PA. We specialize in vision and post-concussive therapy. Vision therapy is a sequence of neurosensory and neuromuscular activities individually prescribed and monitored by the doctor to develop, rehabilitate and enhance visual skills and processing. We start with exercises that are simple and fairly easy, and then gradually progress to more challenging and complicated tasks. Each vision therapy program is individually tailored to meet the needs of the patient. Visual tasks are integrated with movement, balance, hearing, speech, rhythm and timing, and visualization in order to develop improved visual functioning. As skills are developed and perfected, new skills are added. Concussion patients benefit from this therapy through rehabilitation of the ability of the brain to work together with the eyes efficiently again. Vision therapy can be used to treat such conditions as convergence insufficiency, strabismus (eye turn in or out), amblyopia (lazy eye), oculomotor dysfunction (tracking problem), and visual symptoms associated with traumatic brain injuries. Also, many children diagnosed with ADHD, learning disabilities, autism, and dyslexia have functional vision problems that interfere with learning, and can benefit from proper treatment. In fact, many of our Vision Therapy patients see a significant improvement in academics after completing their therapy! Want to learn more about vision therapy? While it may be an unusual start to the new school year, it is still important to schedule your child's eye exam. We are open and accepting appointments following the safety guidelines set forth by the CDC. All patients must wear a mask when entering the building and we ask that only one adult accompany any child who has an appointment. We also ask that siblings without an appointment not be brought along to ensure the safest environment for everyone.
