Food is information and every bite speaks to your thyroid 🍽️

During my Weekly Q&A we talked about something that really helps women make sense of why nutrition matters so much.

By the way, this is the weekly call I host so all of my active clients can hop on, ask questions, and get the support they need.

We explored how every bite sends chemical messages to your body and your thyroid.💜

Those messages can either:
• improve natural all day energy
• support hormone production
• wake up a sluggish metabolism
• help clear the fog so your mind feels sharper and more present

Food is healthcare 🍎

Most women with Hashimoto’s were taught that healthcare only happens in doctors offices.
Lab coats.
Prescriptions.
Ten minute appointments.
A quick “your labs look normal” before being sent home to figure out the rest on their own.

But here is the quiet truth that finally sets women free.

Healthcare actually starts in your kitchen.

It starts with what you put on your plate three times a day to feed your body.

It starts with what you choose to remove so your body can finally breathe again.

Food is information.
It is chemistry.
It is communication.
Every bite is either calming inflammation or causing it.

It is either repairing your thyroid and hormones or overwhelming them.

And here is something many women never pause to consider.

We treat going out to eat as entertainment, as something “fun,” but rarely as an act of personal development.

The #1 Food Mistake Women with Hashimoto’s Make?

It’s so common that even I fell into this trap for decades, thinking I was doing the right thing and “eating healthy.”

My mistake was focusing on only calories even though I still felt exhausted, foggy, and absolutely miserable 🫩

Instead of calories, I should have been focusing on nutrients.

Calories and nutrients are NOT the same thing so let’s clear this up…

🍽️ Calories tell you how much energy a food *could give you*

🍎 While nutrients tell you how that food will actually support your body.

Only nutrients will:ďż˝
- Stabilize your blood sugarďż˝
- Fuel your thyroidďż˝
- Nourish your mitochondria (the engine in your cells)
- Help you recover from fatigue and inflammation

When you’re dealing with Hashimoto’s, your body doesn’t need less food,�it needs BETTER food. Nutrient-dense. Anti-inflammatory. Metabolically supportive food.

All too often my clients come to me feeling completely well fed, but in reality they are struggling and depleted.

Here’s the truth most women aren’t told:
Thyroid hormone can help manage lab numbers…
But it doesn’t fix the actual reasons your thyroid is struggling in the first place.

If you’re still tired, foggy, gaining weight, losing hair, and not feeling like you, even on Synthroid, Armour Thyroid or other thyroid medications, it’s likely because the real root causes have been ignored.

⚠️ Chronic life stress or unresolved trauma (think: illness, job loss, divorce, caregiving)

⚠️ Nutrient depletion from years of dieting, restrictive eating, or processed foods

⚠️ Constant overstimulation — caffeine, sugar, and the go-go-go lifestyle

⚠️ Digestive issues that block your ability to absorb critical nutrients
