It's an honor for our company to observe Juneteenth today, as we continue to support racial justice while fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace for our associates. Juneteenth commemorates the anniversary of news of the Emancipation Proclamation reaching the most isolated slaves in Texas, bringing an end to slavery in the United States.

It is our hope that our associates are able to use the time away from work as a day for celebrating and supporting black-owned businesses, creators, and community-led organizations.

In our role as a PBM to Medicare Part D plan sponsors, PerformRx has developed a Medication Therapy Management (MTM) program into our benefit structure to monitor beneficiaries who have multiple chronic diseases, take multiple Part D medications, and have annual drug costs that exceed a predetermined threshold. In addition, we offer expanded eligibility for the program.

We’ve collaborated with our health plan clients to implement MTM programs designed to benefit their specific member populations. Results can be evidenced by our ability to significantly increase the Comprehensive Mediation Review (CMR) completion rates for our clients.

Happy Pride Month from all of us at PerformRx. The annual celebration of Pride allows us to recognize the years of discrimination and struggles the LGBTQ+ community has endured. It also gives us a chance to recognize and celebrate those original pioneers and trailblazers, who with courage and conviction fought for inclusion and equality.

We applaud those who stand on their shoulders to continue the fight for the right to equality, for all LGBTQIA+ individuals. Much like other annual celebrations we should strive to bring continual awareness, education and advocacy to ensure full equality throughout every day of the year, not just each June.

May is Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month. In order to address the concerns associated with asthma, including costs associated with ER visits and inpatient admissions, our Drug Therapy Management team developed an asthma management program. The program focuses its efforts on helping to ensure patients are receiving the appropriate medication to manage their asthma.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Fallout from the pandemic has left more and more people suffering from mental health disorders. It is important for all of us to do our part by helping to end the stigma and provide support to those suffering from these disorders. Be they family, friends, or members of your community. Positive mental health should be just as high a priority as physical well-being, as they have a direct effect on each other.
