Chinese herbal medicine has been a part of my practice since I started over 25 years ago. For years during my early practice I also compounded formulas at a Chinese herb company here in Philly- measuring liquid concentrates, and weighing freeze- dried herbal granules or dried raw herbs into formulas and shipping them out to practitioners or their patients. I especially loved building the raw herb formulas- making piles for decoction, feeling the textures, seeing the colors and forms of seeds or roots or leaves, learning their smells.
Though I still write customized formulas for some people, particularly in complex patterns, many people can benefit from classical or modernized versions of time- tested or researched formulas in tablet or capsule form (it generally helps herbs work when they are taken- so convenience isn't a bad idea 🤗). This shipment includes several women's health formulas- some which have been in use for hundreds of years- before IVF or HRT, Chinese medicine was harmonizing, soothing, clearing, moving, and tonifying. Herbs are the yin to acupuncture's yang. While acupuncture is a powerful energetic medicine, herbal formulas can work from within, sometimes doing things that acupuncture alone may not be able to, and the combination can be ✨️🤌 ✨️
