| BELL’S PALSY | This patient was first diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy two years ago. She had many appointments with her neurologist with little to no suggestions for treatment of her facial spasms and asymmetry. She had tried acupuncture and physical therapy but gained minimal relief and was starting to lose hope. She battled insecurities and found herself hiding behind her mask, rarely smiling or talking. Finally, she was referred to try Botox by a fellow coworker. ⠀
Bell’s Palsy is a type of facial paralysis that results in an inability to control muscle movement on one side of the face. Facial paralysis synkinesis, or an abnormal synchronization of muscle movement, can be treated with Botox. Botox is injected to relax unwanted muscle movement to improve symmetry and help reduce muscle tension, spasms, and discomfort. Treatment will provide temporary relief and will be repeated every 3 months. ⠀

Everyone give a warm welcome to Gillian Georigi, BSN RN! (pronounced: Jillian Gerigie)⠀

Gill is the newest member of The Cross Injectable Team and has stepped into Julia’s previous role as my assistant. She too will be studying under me to complete the assistant to injector program. ⠀
⠀
Gill attended Villanova University and completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She went on to the University of Delaware and completed the accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Gill holds a nursing license in both Delaware and Pennsylvania. ⠀
⠀
She enjoys to bake and might make the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever had!! Her other hobby is painting portraits using oil based paint. She is truly so talented! And we all say, it takes a true artist to be an injector. ⠀

Her love and passion for aesthetics was evident when she asked to shadow me in the office 6 years ago. So it is with great pleasure and honor to have her as a part of the Cross Injectable Team today!

She is an advanced provider in full face and neck Botox, lip injections, liquid rhinoplasties, jawline contour, chin augmentation, and mid-face sculpting. She is an advanced provider in our non-surgical procedures and as well. ⠀
