It is with gratitude and mixed emotion that I write this note to announce the closing of Precious Minutes CPR and Safety Training, effective December 31, 2024, after an incredible 10 years of service. This decision has not come easily, but the time has come for me to step away from this chapter of my life and focus on other important areas.

As I reflect on this experience, I am overwhelmed by the countless memories. Over the past decade, I’ve driven to every corner of Southeastern Pennsylvania, taught hundreds of classes to thousands of students, and worked with a wide variety of groups and companies—from all industries and walks of life. From the living rooms of homeschool classrooms to the floors of warehouses and factories, I’ve taught everything from nervous couples learning life-saving skills as new parents to complex multi-day courses for organizations implementing comprehensive safety protocols. From personal preparedness to required certifications, each of you has played a vital role in making this experience meaningful and fulfilling for me.

I am deeply thankful to all the clients who entrusted me with your family or teams’ safety, to the students who showed up eager to learn, and to the organizations that made safety a priority and loyally invited me back year after year. Your support, dedication, and trust have meant the world to me.

A special thank you to my children—Cora, Ben, and Gavin—for being on this ride with me. Cora had just turned four years old, and Ben wasn’t even one yet when I started PMCST, my original “third baby”. Gavin, my true third baby, has been involved with it his entire life. I hope you three fondly remember the hours you’ve spent in classrooms, helping me clean and organize equipment, or watching me walk out the door to pursue this dream of mine. I wanted to build something for you, that has always been my foundation.

I am also deeply grateful to my husband, Mike, for your unwavering support, guidance, love, and IT wisdom.

Over the years, I’ve witnessed firsthand the impact of what we’ve done together. From a middle schooler learning choking relief skills in a babysitting class to church groups taking steps to protect their communities with AED training, these experiences have been profoundly rewarding. I have had the privilege of seeing moments of transformation—when uncertainty gives way to confidence, and when fear of a crisis is replaced by the knowledge that you are prepared to act. But it’s the messages and conversations I’ve had with students—the ones who’ve had to act in true emergency situations—that I carry close to my chest. To know the skills that I helped you learn made a difference in someone’s moment of need is why I did this.

With deep appreciation and all my best,

Amanda Gehringer McDole, BA Adult Ed., PA EMT/EMS-I

Bring old car seats and bases to be recycled and get a 20% off discount for a Target trip.

If you have old car seats or bases in your basement/attic/garage the plastic can warp and become brittle, even if they still seem solid or okay - they may NOT be safe enough for an accident. Do not reuse old car seats or bases.

Our Story

PMCST was created by Amanda Gehringer in December of 2014 with the goal to change the way training is done in our area. Emergency training does not need to be led by monotone and boring Instructors. If you’re required to be certified for your organization or if you want to learn on your own for personal preparedness, there is no better way than hands-on training mixed with practical experience and some laughs. You should not have to feel the need to keep checking your watch waiting for the minutes to pass. Emergency training can absolutely be as enjoyable as it is important.
