Ayurvedic Winter Tips
Here are some simple health tips for winter season.
✅ Abhyanga -Oil massage- A full body morning oil massage using sesame oil is one of the most pleasant Vata balancing practice. Try it, before showering, massage the whole body. Apply warm oil inside your ear and feet at night.
✅Stay warm - wear a hat and scarf to cover your head and ears before heading out. Ears are one of the main seats of Vata.
❌Avoid cold foods like ice cream, avoid raw, cold fruits and veggies.
✅ Add healthy fats like Ghee in the diet.
✅Eat spices like turmeric, ginger in the diet.
✅Cooked root vegetables like sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, beetroots are hearty, heavy and nutrient dense - ideal for winter.
✅Exercise - staying active will keep up your energy levels and bodies warm in winter.
🌿 Herbs like Amalaki loaded with immune boosting antioxidants, is an excellent supplement during the winter season.
