Intern Spotlight!💡
My name is Sadie West, and I’m thrilled to be a part of Aramark’s Dietetic Internship Program this year! I’m a proud Texas Tech graduate, having earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees🎓 in Nutritional Sciences (Wreck ’em!). During my time at Tech, I gained valuable leadership and food service experience as a Front-of-House and Bar Manager at Aspen Creek Grill. That role deepened my appreciation for teamwork👥, nutrition🍓, and the behind-the-scenes magic of food service operations.

Outside of nutrition, I’m all about creativity and adventure. You can usually find me baking up something sweet, crocheting a cozy blanket, or hitting the open road on my motorcycle🏍. I also love playing games with friends (anything that involves laughter and a little competition)! I’m excited to grow, learn, and make the most of this opportunity with Aramark!

'A Day in the Life'🗓 of an Aramark Intern!
Ben Ramirez has been gaining new experiences through observing various nutrition screenings, assessments📝, and interventions👨‍⚕️. Ben got to observe his preceptors👩‍⚕️ place a new nasogastric tube⚕ using the Corpak tube feeding technology.
Ben has expressed his gratefulness of being able to see new interventions🔬 that can help patients improve their overall wellbeing. Whether that be through dietary modifications🍐🍞, supplementation💊 or education👨🏻‍🏫, Ben is excited❣ to make positive➕ impacts with his patients.

My name is Catherine Qin, and I am very excited to be a Dietetic Intern through Aramark! I obtained my bachelor’s degree🎓 in nutrition and completed my DPD from Texas A&M University. I am also currently completing my master's👩‍🎓 in nutrition through A&M.

Professionally, I have done lab🔬 experience and screened studies for systematic reviews at the Texas A&M Evidence Center. Additionally, I have held several tutoring/TA👩🏻‍🏫 positions throughout college, which have reinforced my passion for teaching.

Outside of my academic and professional life, I enjoy cooking👩🏻‍🍳🍳, spending time with family and friends👭, and playing with my dog🐾🐕.

Intern Spotlight💡
My name is Olivia McMickle, and I graduated🎓 with my BS degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Georgia. I am currently completing my Master of Community Nutrition👩‍🎓 through UGA.

I worked at Journey Juice, where I developed a strong foundation in customer service and nutrition-focused food preparation. I also completed a practicum at a local hospital🏥, which provided me with valuable exposure to clinical nutrition and patient care. I’m particularly interested in pediatrics👶🏼👶🏽 and working in a clinical setting, as well as supporting maternal health🤰. I hope to work closely with mothers and babies to help promote healthy outcomes during pregnancy, infancy, and early childhood through evidence-based nutrition🍼🚼👪 care.

Outside of my academic and professional life, I enjoy taking my dog🐾🐶 to the park, working out🚴‍♀️🏊🏃‍♀️, and spending time with my friends and family👭👬. Game🎲🎱🎮 nights are one of my favorite ways to unwind and connect with others. I’m looking forward to growing both personally and professionally👩‍⚕️ during this internship.

My name is Madalynn Hayes. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics👩🏼‍🎓 at Texas Tech University this last May and will continue with Texas Tech for my Master’s in Nutritional Sciences🎓 as well (wreck ‘em)!

My work experience includes working as a food service employee both in and outside of a hospital🏥 setting.

Outside of school and work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family👭👨‍👩‍👦, reading books📖, and going for walks🚶🏼‍♀️.

Intern Spotlight💡
My name is Karina Aguirre, and I am very excited to be a Dietetic Intern through Aramark! I graduated🎓 in May 2025 from Texas Woman’s University, where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in nutrition with an emphasis in Dietetics. I’m also pursuing my Master of Public Health degree👩🏻‍🎓 through Texas Woman’s University.

I worked as a nutrition aide at a nursing home👵👴 and served as the vice president of the Food and Nutrition Network at Texas Woman’s University. I was a student volunteer for the Summer Cooking Camp👩‍🍳 at Texas Woman’s University, and I participated in the Head Start to Healthy Lifestyles program by providing nutrition education at local preschools🚸. I’m currently a volunteer at a local food bank.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking🥘 for my family, reading📖, exercising🏃‍♀️🚴‍♀️, and doing crafts.

Intern Spotlight💡
My name is Katherine Keelan, and I completed my DPD coursework and earned my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Texas Tech University🎓. I am now also pursuing my Master of Science in Nutrition through Texas Tech’s online graduate program while completing my dietetic internship with Aramark in the Dallas area.

My nutrition-related experience includes time at Texas Health Dallas and South Plains Rehabilitation Hospital🏥, where I gained a strong foundation in clinical nutrition and patient care. I also spent time at Doherty Nutrition🏦, a private practice in Dallas, where I learned more about outpatient counseling and the supportive systems that help patients thrive.

Beyond work, I co-founded and served in leadership roles with Miracle Pennies, a student-led organization that partnered with our local children’s hospital to raise funds and awareness for pediatric patients and their families👨‍👩‍👧‍👧.

Outside of academics and professional involvement, I enjoy reading novels📚 on my Kindle, practicing yoga🧘‍♀️, traveling🛫, and spending time with my dog, Daisy🐾!

Intern Spotlight💡
Hi! My name is Gina Mattera and I am very excited to be a Dietetic Intern through Aramark! I completed my DPD program at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition🎓. In December, I also completed my Master of Science in Nutrition at Metropolitan State University of Denver👩‍🎓.

I have a passion for many areas of nutrition, including gastrointestinal health, women's health, eating disorders, and sports nutrition. During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a nutrition educator👩‍🏫 for low-income individuals, focusing on weight management, diabetes management, and healthy lifestyle implementation. In my master’s program, I conducted a research study🔬 on eating disorders, specifically examining women’s cross-country athletes‍🏃🏻‍♀️. I’m excited to make a positive impact in the field through my future work.

Outside of academics, I enjoy yoga🧘‍♀️, long-distance running🏃‍♀️, traveling🛅, and trying new foods and local restaurants!
