Intern Spotlight💡

My name is Ambar Lopez Then. I completed my DPD program at Lehman H College and earned my MBA in Health Administration at the University of Mount Saint Vincent. 🎓

My training focuses on applying evidence-based nutrition care to help improve patient health outcomes. ✅

My experience includes work as a nutrition assistant at CAMBA, assisting with patient charting and providing nutrition education/counseling for individuals with diabetes. It also includes work as a diet technician for Northwell, assisting in screening hospitalized patients for nutritional risk and ensuring meals are appropriate for the patient’s prescribed diet. 👩‍⚕️🏥

Outside of my academic and professional pursuits, I enjoy karaoke, reading, dancing, and spending meaningful time with my family. 📚🚣‍♂️💃

First Day of Clinical!

Cornelius Henderson attended mandatory Epic training to gain a good understanding of how to use the system. This is important for patient care and documentation. 🖥️🏛️

It was a lot of information to learn, but it was much needed to be successful during the clinical rotation at his assigned hospital! 🏥💯

It is National Nutrition Month! 🗓️

Jolie Fiske assisted the dietitians at her facility in Florida by kicking off the celebration with highlighting the power of nutrition with healthy snacks in the cafeteria. 🥜

A tasty trail mix can be a simple and satisfying snack choice for anyone on-the-go! 🏃‍♀️🏋️‍♂️🚴

Intern Spotlight 💡

My name is Whitney Taylor, and I graduated with an M.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from Metropolitan State University of Denver. 🎓

I’m passionate about eating disorder care. During my Master’s, I volunteered at a local food bank. In my previous career as a health writer and editor, I led patient research projects and collaborated with health experts - including RDs - to ensure scientific accuracy. 🔬👩‍⚕️

I enjoy reading mysteries, hiking with my kids, and discovering new coffee shops. 📚☕

My Path to Becoming an RD 👩‍⚕️

Cassie Taylor, current Aramark Dietetic Intern, had the honor of presenting at one of her hospital's stroke center support meetings. This group included individuals who suffered a stroke and loved ones who support them. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

Cassie presented on different diets and healthy eating habits to support long-term health and prevent chronic diseases. 🍲🥘

Intern Spotlight 💡

My name is Sebastian May, and I completed my DPD program at University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, Indiana, where I am also currently completing my Master of Business Administration in Supply Chain Management. 🎓

During college, I have been actively involved in nutrition-focused volunteer work including creating educational material for the local WIC program, leading children’s nutrition workshops, and assisting with meal service and engagement activities in community organizations. 👨‍👨‍👦‍👦

Professionally, I have worked as a Laboratory Analyst at Mead Jhonson Nutrition (Enfamil) for over two years, where I supported nutrient testing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement projects, giving me a deeper understanding of food science and product safety. 🔬

Outside of academic and professional responsibilities, I enjoy playing soccer on the weekends, going to the gym, taking long walks, learning languages, and traveling to new places. ⚽🏋️‍♂️ I also have a deep interest in digestive health from personal experience, which motivated me to learn how evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle practices can support gut function and overall well-being.

Intern Spotlight💡

My name is Molly Pierce, and I am very excited to be a Dietetic Intern through Aramark! 💯

I graduated in August of 2024 from Texas State University, where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences. I then graduated in December of 2025 with my Master's in Nutritional Sciences through Texas Tech University. 🎓

I have been working as a Pharmacy Technician for the past 4 years. I was also a Hospice Volunteer for a couple of years and did a smaller internship at an independent living home.

In my free time, I love to cook, hang out with friends, go on walks, and spend lots of time with my dog, Linus. 🐶

Intern Spotlight 💡

My name is Deniz Colak, and I am very excited to be a Dietetic Intern through Aramark!

I obtained my B.S. in Nutrition from The University of Texas at Austin and graduated in August with a M.S. in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology from The University of Florida. 🎓

At UT Austin, I served as a Fueling Station Manager for Texas Performance Nutrition, leading daily operations of the fueling station and working closely with sports dietitians to provide nutrition support for Division I athletes. As a part of the Prevention Research Lab 🔬, I engaged in research examining how the marketing of products such as to***co, alcohol, and highly processed foods and beverages impacts youth and young adults’ behaviors.

Additionally, as the Social Events Officer for UTexas Nutrition, I participated
in community service initiatives in the Austin area, including preparing meals for those in need in the kitchen at the University Methodist Church and volunteering with the UT Farm Stand Garden. 👩‍👩‍👧‍👧

In my free time, I love reading, working out, and going on adventures with my two dogs! 📚🏃‍♀️🐶
