Balance is a boutique style fitness studio located in the heart of Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, PA. Our focus is personal training, indoor cycling and small group fitness classes. We also specialize in sport specific training for team sports such as football, lacrosse, baseball, as well as squash, tennis, golf and triathlon/marathon training. We offer training for Pilates, Yoga, Barre, Boxing, and endurance training in Private and semi private sessions, as well as classes. We also offer Nutrition and Goal Coaching because We @ Balance believe in Balancing from the Inside Out (BIO). We believe that true health means you’re making the right choices for your body because you want to, not because you have to. We promote balance in all areas of life. It starts with a decision to change… the rest is the easy part! We believe in simplicity: local foods, whole ingredients and easy preparation. Don’t take our word for it… give it a try for yourself. ✨NEW PILATES Tower + Reformer SGT✨

Join Darcy Monday evenings for a strength 💪🏽and length SGT that will use the reformers and the towers to challenge your stability and strengthen your body with spring resistance. ✨

Darcy Lyons has been a mover since the age of six when she started dancing. She graduated with a B.F.A in dance from California Institute of the Arts and is a choreographer and producer in Philadelphia. She has a project based dance theater company called Lyons and Tigers. Darcy received her comprehensive 450- hour Pilates apparati and mat certification through Drexel Pilates in 2016. In March 2018 she completed the Movement Science Made Simple Course called Look, Listen, Push, Pull: Training Freedom and Support in the Head, Neck, and Shoulders taught by Cara Reeser and Jeremy Laverdure as well as other continuing education workshops. Darcy has also been certified in and teaching GYROTONIC® since 2013 and is a GYROKINESIS® Apprentice.

As a teacher, Darcy places importance on breath, detail, precision, kindness, passion, creativity and, of course, having a sense of humor. She is looking forward to working with all teen and adult populations at any movement level and physical ability in private sessions and group classes at Balance Life.
