Dickson
Andrew A., Sr. December 5, 2025 age 49. It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we share the unexpected passing of a dearly beloved son, a loyal and loving father, a fiercely protective brother, and “Fun Uncle Drew.”
Son of Suzanne M. (nee Iovine) and Andrew A. Dickson; beloved father to Drew (Lauren), Faith, and Bridget, brother of Jen Dougherty (Butch), Tricia Nichols (Mike), Bern Laukaitis (Joe) and Mark Dickson; uncle to Kevin Nichols, Haley Nichols, Sean Dougherty, Mark Dickson, Erin Dougherty, Joey Laukaitis, Daniel Dickson, Kasey Laukaitis, Brayden Dickson. Drew is also survived by Lisa (Mother of his children); many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, teammates, fraternity brothers, friends, and friends that have become family.
Drew will be remembered for his bright smile and quick wit; he was the one who lit up every room he walked into—the life of the party, the person everyone gravitated toward, and the friend so many were blessed to know.
A gifted three-sport athlete, he was a natural leader both on and off the field. A true powerhouse—strong, determined, and fiercely protective of those he loved—he left a lasting legacy through his athletic achievements. He was a proud member of the 1992 Devlin League Championship team, coached by his dad, Andy; a state champion with St. Matthew High School CYO highlighted by a proud photo still hanging in the gym today, a Father Judge Class of 1994 Hall of Fame football player; and continued at the collegiate level at Albright College. While at Albright, he joined the Phi Delta Omega Fraternity, building bonds of brotherhood that lasted a lifetime. His dedication to sports did not end with his own accomplishments but continued through the next generation. One of his greatest joys in life was coaching all three of his children. His passion on the sidelines was unmatched—fierce, focused, (at times crazy), but full of heart. He taught them not just the game, but the values that mattered most: teamwork, resilience, toughness, gratitude, and never giving up on yourself or the people you love.
Drew was a gifted carpenter whose craftsmanship touched countless lives, but his most meaningful work came in the final days before his passing, when he lovingly completed the finishing details of his son’s new home with his brother Mark. Every beam, board, and careful stroke of his hand was a testament to the pride he felt and the love he carried for his family.
Drew’s gifts extended far beyond athletics and carpentry, he had an incredible voice and a natural rhythm that could get anyone moving. His singing and dancing were pure joy—effortless, soulful, and unforgettable. He entertained us all with the same big-hearted energy he brought to every part of his life. Whether on a stage or at a family gathering, he made every moment brighter, every celebration louder, and every memory warmer.
To his family, he was strength. To his friends, he was loyalty. To everyone who knew him, he was unforgettable. He will be fiercely and endlessly missed. His spirit, laughter, music, and love will live on in the countless lives he touched. Don’t Stop Believing!
