Silva

Veronica "June" Silva passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Dorking, England on June 29, 1943, she was the daughter of the late James Lewis and Cynthia Barber. June immigrated to the United States in 1945 at just under 2 years of age and always held her British heritage close to her heart.

June's primary career and main source of pride was the role of loving mother and grandmother. June married the late Jose Manuel Silva in 1966 and although divorced they continued to care for each other until his death in 2021. Together they had 3 beloved children Colombia Iannelli (Steve), Britannia Robinson (John) and Jose Amador Silva. Her dedication to family did not prevent her from earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Holy Family University while raising them. June was blessed with 3 grandchildren Sofia, Olivia and Aiden who were the greatest joy in her life. She cherished being able to babysit for them during her 70's. June is the beloved sister to Rosalind Hernandez and the late Bernard Lewis. She is further survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews both here and in Colombia who she loved dearly.

June was blessed with the love and dedication of friends who were like family and was commonly referred to as everyone's mother. Many memories were made around the dinner table where you could pull up a chair and enjoy great laughs served with a home cooked meal. June was a fabulous cook, she could whip up a great soup using just a potato, an onion and a lot of love. She was able to master cooking foods native to her husband’s Colombia as well as from her birthplace in England.

June was an avid genealogist who enjoyed researching her family history, which allowed her to connect with many cousins in England. She loved helping others research their family lineage and locate their long-lost relatives as well. June was also an animal lover having had many pet companions throughout the years including dogs, cats, rabbits and 3 ferrets.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family on Friday, February 20th 9:30-11 AM at Assumption BVM Church 1900 Meadowbrook Rd Feasterville, PA 19053 followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM. In Loving Memory of Carrie-Anne "Sunnie" Schaffer

Carrie-Anne Schaffer, known affectionately to all as "Sunnie," passed away leaving behind a legacy of warmth and resilience. A woman whose spirit lived up to her nickname, Sunnie was a beacon of light for those who knew her, even when navigating her own darkest storms.

Sunnie’s greatest pride was her family. Her love remains a guiding force for those she held most dear, her devoted partner and husband, Eric Schaffer, and her sons Ian Drumm and Billy Drumm, who were the lights of her life. She is also remembered by Sean Drumm and Anthony Amato.

Sunnie had a way of making the world feel a bit brighter; whether through a kind word, or a shared laugh, her impact was profound. She taught those around her that beauty and pain often walk hand in hand, and that even a sun that sets too early has filled the day with warmth. Her family finds peace knowing that she is finally at rest, free from the burdens she carried, and forever shining in their memories.

Relatives and friends are invited to remember Sunnie Thursday, February 26th 6-8 PM VISCONTO FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2031 Vista Street (Vista & Large Sts.) (Ample parking & handicap accessibility in rear of building.)

Glowacki

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edward (Ed) Glowacki on January 4, 2026. Ed left peacefully at his Kenosha, WI assisted living apartment, his home since April 2025, after having endured numerous health challenges.

A lifelong Philadelphian, Ed was a Registered Nurse for 22 years, and a proud 20 year US Army (Medical) veteran. His active duty included being based in Hawaii with the 25th Infantry Division which was one of Ed's fondest memories. Ed enjoyed travel, books on trivia, concerts with friends, and was a big Philly sports fan. He loved collecting hats, t-shirts, and coffee mugs from wherever he went. Ed had his family's gratitude for caring for our mother, Rosalie, until her passing in 2017 at 92.

He is survived by his brother, Francis (Alice) Glowacki; his nieces, Trisha and Melissa; his nephews, Christopher and Mark; and numerous cousins and friends who will cherish the memories they created together.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Rosalie Glowacki; his brother James and his wife Barbara Glowacki.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet Ed’s family, Friday, February 13th 9-10:30 AM at VISCONTO FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2031 Vista Street (Vista & Large Sts.) (Ample parking & handicap accessibility in rear of building) followed by Ed’s Funeral Mass 11 AM at Resurrection of Our Lord Church 2000 Shelmire Street Philadelphia, PA 19152. Inurnment Resurrection Cemetery Bensalem, PA 19020.

In lieu of flowers Ed's family would prefer donations in Ed's memory to www.hospicealliance.org of Wisconsin.

As we prepare to say our goodbyes, let's remember Edward for his warmth, humor, and the love he freely gave. He will be missed dearly.
