Craney
In Loving Memory of Jeffrey Stephen Craney, born on July 22, 1956, was called home to be with the Lord on December 25, 2025, surrounded by the love of his devoted wife and four beloved daughters.
Jeff’s passing on Christmas Day is a reminder of the hope and promise found in faith, the celebration of Christ’s birth, and the assurance of eternal life. Though his family and friends mourn his earthly absence, they take comfort in knowing he is now at peace in God’s presence.
Jeff was a loving husband, a dedicated father, and a cherished Poppop. His family was the center of his life, and he took great pride in being a constant source of love, guidance, and strength. As Poppop, he brought warmth, laughter, and unwavering affection, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.
Jeff was also a professional wrestler, a role that reflected his strength, determination, and larger-than-life spirit. Outside of the ring, he had a deep love for music, which was a constant presence in his life; and he especially treasured family vacations to Ocean City, New Jersey, where countless joyful memories were made by the shore.
Son of the late Harry E. and Rose Marie (nee Hill) Craney. Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Susan (nee Wichert) Craney; his daughters, Shannon Stein (Steve), Kelly McCullough (Jon), Dana Reca (Andrew), and Heather Caprisecca (Anthony); his brother, Harry M. Craney and his sisters-in-law, Linda and Debbie; his beloved grandchildren, two granddaughters, Ava Stein and Raven McCullough, and three grandsons, Michael Stein, Colton Reca, and Vincenzo Reca; as well as 4 nephews and numerous cousins and friends. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply and the lives he touched.
Those who knew Jeff will remember his gentle spirit, steady faith, and deep devotion to his family. His life reflected love, perseverance, and trust in God.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday, January 10th 9:30-10:30AM St. Cecilia Church, 525 Rhawn Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111 followed by 10:30AM Funeral Mass. Interment in Lawnview Cemetery will be held privately at a later date.
